The Assassin vs. Armando Salgado (December 1986) This is a different Assassin. Next is Chicky Starr's Sport Shop with Carlos Colon which turns out well of course plus we get clips of Colon/Hansen in a bullrope match from 1/6/87. Chicky spits on Colon then Hansen comes out and destroys Colon with a steel chair then ties him up with the bullrope as Colon juices. Chicky is awesome here rooting Hansen on in English while ripping Colon in Espanol. This was fucking awesome and a slam dunk extra. Chicky Starr & "Rambo" Ron Starr vs. Angel Diaz & Diego Santos (December 1986) Squash. Next we get a verbal battle between Chicky Starr w/Jason the Terrible against Huracan Castillo & The Invader. This leads to a contract signing between Chicky & Invader for a match with Jason so as expected Jason would attack Invader before we get a pull-apart brawl. November 1, 201311 yr comment_5570092 This was another one I skimmed for signs of novelty or competitive matches. The highlight here was the infamous Flower Shop segment that Boricua translated for us in the PR thread. That's a stone cold lock as an EXTRA for the set. I could see the contract signing bit with Invader/Jason fitting as well, but that's hardly a marquee feud as far as I know. Warriors v. Assassins was mildly competitive but not very good. I did enjoy the Abby squash, but I always do.
November 1, 201311 yr comment_5570093 Invader and Jason feuded for about three months. Chicky brought Jason to Puerto Rico to get rid of Invader. It was semi-main to Carlos' feud with Hansen. It's one of the more notable feuds Invader had in the 80's. I'd guess the contract signing as an extra may depend on whether the match that stems from it is included in the set.
May 27, 20169 yr comment_5754894 We start with what appears to be the Saturday Jan. 17 show. Hugo again mentions that officially thet CSP wrestling is the number one sports program in Puerto Rico. Hugo runs down who we'll see on the show and mentions that tonight the evening program will now be at 6pm. Tonight they will be in Manati (with matches such as Invader 1 and the Youngbloods vs. the Starrs and Jason, Miguelito Perez and Big Red vs. Heffernan and and Mendoza, among other bouts) and tomorrow Sunday they will be in Caguas. There will be a noDQ rematch between Jason and Invader 1. This brings out Chicky Starr and Jason, with Hugo remarking that it is not their scheduled interview time. Chicky says for Hugo to mind his business and do his job, he has something to say right now. Chicky is demanding to know why the Invader is not putting the TV title up for grabas tomorrow. He is a coward and the viewers must be embarrassed to have him a champion. When Jason almost finished him in Caguas last week, Chicky says Invader resorted to a chair to get DQ's and save his hide. He asks for a VTR to be played. Clips of Invader vs. Jason from Jan. 11/87 in Caguas are shown. I get a kick of how the referees seem to only call for a DQ if they get attacked. After the clip Chicky demands for Invader to put up the TV title and they leave to head to the ring. Jason vs. Zorro - Quick squash win for Jason. Chicky starts demanding for the announcers to say some stuff but Padin tells him to come off it. After the match, Chicky raises Jason's hand and they leave. TV taping on Wednesday. The tv title is on the line. Ref is out, Invader goes for the pin but the ref is out. As he tries to revive the ref, Chicky throws a chair into the ring. Jason tries to pilderive invader 1 on the chair but Invader counters. As Invader starts attacking Jason, this is when the ref comes to. Funny, Chicky seemed to have left some of the details out when he was complaining earlier. Possible extra. Invader interview where he states that now everyone can see who brought the chair into the ring. He says he never backs off from wrestling anyone or giving them a match. Armandito Salgado defeats Assassin 2. Armandito gets a win! Post match Chicky Starr and Jason shows up and Chicky demands a microphone. Padin joins them to get what Chicky wants to say. Chicky demands for Invader to put the TV title up against Jason, is he not man enough to do that. Jason is the number one contender and he can destroy Invader 1. Chicky keeps questioning whether invader 1 is man enough to put the title up. Padin says that he will make the effort to see if Invader will grant the match. El Profe interview with Heffernan and Mendoza is cut off. Chicky Starr Sports Shop with guest Carlos Colon. It's the one where Colon gets attacked by Hansen. Extra. This Thursday they will be in Ciales. Starr Cousins squash win over Angel Diaz and Pedro Santos. After the match, Chicky comes back out with Jason and again demands the title match for Jason. Commissioner Castillo comes out. Chiky starts yelling that this has nothing to do with Castillo. Castillo asks him straight out what they want. Chicky demands a title match for Jason. the crowd is drowning out what Chicky is saying. Invader joins them. In short, Invader agrees to the match and they ask for a contract to be brought out to sign. Miguelito Perez and Invader 3 interview. Invader 3 is once again the World Junior champ and he is facing TNT tonight. Miguelito talks about his rematch tonight, which is apparently non-title. Tomorrow both will team up against Heffernan and Mendoza. Hugo says we should go back to the ring, as a result of what has happened throughout the program. In the ring there is a table and there is a contract signing going on. Chicky says that any questions should be addressed to him, not Jason. He doesn't need to read the contract and he will sign it. Castillo clears up that this match is for tonight's TV program. Jason jumps Invader. The locker room clears out to separate them. Super Medico squash win over Rick Debro. Moyano runs down what we'll see tonight. The first match will be the Invader vs. Jason match for the TV title, since they are under orders from Commissioner Castillo that the match will be with no time limit. Hugo closes the show. He thanks the fans again for making them number one. The next show is actually the January 10 show. News of the Youngbloods and Heffernan and Mendoza winning their respective title matches on Three Kings Day. Hugo starts by making the declaration of sadness and solidarity with the DuPont Plaza tragedy victims. He also mentions that in the latest ratings revealed that their wrestling was the number one sports program on local TV. Big Red and Miguelito Perez defeat the Assassins. TV taping this Wednesday. El Profe and TNT's interview about TNT's match with joe Savoldi tomorrow in Caguas. Profe expresses surprise that a man that had suffered an injury like Savoldi did would dare step in the ring again. TNT's focus is on Carlos Colon and the Universal title, but he will dispatch of Savoldi. tonight in Arecibo TNT faces Miguelito Perez. Chicky Starr and Abdullah the butcher interview about Abdullah's match tomorrow against Brody. Abby has a raw chicken that he starts eating and Chicky says that what is happening to the chicken is what will happen to Brody. Tonight Invader and Brody face Jason and Abdullah. Chicky calls Brody the traitor of his organization. Asi Soy Yo segment with guest Eliut Gonzalez. Eliut is the ring announcer. Highlights include: He got involved in wrestling because he worked at Channel 11, which was broadcasting wrestling at that time. He was an announcer at the station and he started befriending the wrestlers that would bring the videos to the station and that's were his interest started. He had already been an announcer at the station for seven to eight years and he got tired of doing the same thing. He thought that he wanted to announce a match of Carlos Colon's, it was something he wanted to do. One day day one of the production people of the wrestling show was there and he commented to that person that was thinking of quitting his job and how he wanted to call one match of carlos Colon's. He left his job and was out for a while and then out of the blue he was given the opportunity. His first match he presented was filmed in Caguas and involved Carlos Colon. Everybody accepted him, including the fans. One time in a presentation of a match of Hercules Ayala's, after doing the introductions he got wrapped with his mic cord and almost fell from the ring as he was existing. He got saved by the ringside physician. Eliut works as a professor. At school the students and parents ask him about what's been happening during the shows. He teaches industrial arts. He's married and has three sons. Very happy with his family. He describes himself as trying to be pleasant, has been accepted by the public. Jason squash win over Armandito Salgado.
