Johnny Saint vs. Mike Jordan 5/23/87 - I'm not sure I can nominate a match that ends on one of these stupid cut stoppages.

Steve Grey vs. Mike Jordan 12/28/85 - This was better than the Saint match with both guys conveying the sense that they had to keep digging deeper to find new tactics. For example, Jordan spent a whole round trying to hurt Grey's midsection with headbutts after Grey spent a stretch trying to put Jordan in a surfboard. But then it ended abruptly on a countout after Jordan fell from the apron to the floor. God, these finishes suck. They're much worse than guys brawling to countouts in Japan, because they just suck all of the air out of the crowd in a matter of seconds.

Mike Jordan & Rick Wiseman vs. King Benn & Kid McCoy 6/7/86 - Benn and McCoy were father and son and both delivered some fun flashes of athleticism. But they won in fairly one-sided fashion.

Kid McCoy, McGregor & Spiderman vs. Mike Jordan, Sid Cooper & Eddie Riley 7/12/86 - The main story was Cooper's inability to get along with his own teammates because of his underhanded tactics. The actual wrestling wasn't so great.

Mike Jordan vs. Eddie Riley 12/27/86 - Riley brought almost nothing to the table for the first five or six rounds. But after he earned his evening fall, the match picked up, with several nifty exchanges over the last two rounds. It wasn't enough to earn a nomination. Jordan was a solid hand but just not as interesting as Saint or Grey. it's obvious why they held the lightweight belts for so long.
