Posted March 14, 201114 yr comment_5467292 Huracan Castillo vs. Assassin #2 (January 1987) Squash. TNT vs. Miguel Ramos (January 1987) Squash. Mighty Igor vs. The Assassin (January 1987) Not good. Invader III vs. El Satanico (January 1987) Squash. Gran Mendoza & Bob Heffernan vs. Jorge Clemente & Armando Salgado (January 1987) Squash. Killer Khalifa (The Libyan from UWF) vs. Big Red Reese (February 1987) This was pretty fun as Khalifa was fun at selling Red's shots and was good keeping the aggression going. Red can't move well but still throws some good punches although he misses a elbow drop off the middle rope allowing Khalifa to work him over to get a big upset win. David Gold vs. Jorge Clemente (February 1987) Gold wears the confederate flag around him to the ring which was cool. This was more competitive than I thought it would be for sure. TNT vs. Pedro Santos (February 1987) Squash. Jason the Terrible & Chicky Starr vs. Isaac Rosario & Super Medico (Jose Estrada) (February 1987) Poor Medico gets stuck with jobbers. Next we get clips of a fun looking Invaders vs. Eric Embry/Fidel Sierra match. David Gold vs. El Soberano (February 1987) Squash. TNT vs. Raul Reyes (February 1987) Squash. Hugo Savinovich interviews a bearded Carlos Colon which is odd to see since it was almost all gray. Gran Mendoza & Bob Heffernan vs. Jorge Clemente & Angel Diaz (February 1987) Squash. The Renegade Warriors (Chris & Mark Youngblood) vs. The Assassin & Rick Debro (February 1987) Squash. Next we get clips of an Invader/Jason match featuring involvement from Invader III & Chicky. Miguel Perez Jr. vs. Julio Veloz (February 1987) Squash. The Invaders (I y III), & Mil Mascaras vs. Dory & Terry Funk, & "Rambo" Ron Starr (December 1986) This is very interesting matchup. Dory takes punishment to start the match as the tecnicos work over his left arm and it was fun watching Starr & Terry try to out stooge each other in the corner. Terry comes in and is awesome selling his slugfest with Invader I before bringing in Starr who gets his ass kicked as well selling it almost as great as Terry did. Starr would catch Invader with a desperation clothesline before tagging in Terry which led to the rudo control section that didn't last real long before Mil would get the hot tag. Mil runs wild on Dory before it turns into a 6-way brawl with the fans going apeshit. The referee calls for the bell DQing both teams and this was a total blast although it was a little short. I'm throwing this one on the block.
June 30, 201312 yr comment_5549495 Killer Khalifa and David Gold had blink and you'll miss them runs. That bearded Carlos Colon interview sounds as its from when Hugo was trying to track him down after he "quit" following the Hansen attack. If so, it should be an extra and now I'm wondering if there are any other interviews that are part of this storyline on the discs. Quite an interesting mix of people in that 6 man tag.
November 3, 201311 yr comment_5570315 Assassin 2 is like the Thunderfoot of Puerto Rico and he took a good bump in this squash v. Castillo, but other than that the squashes are all skippable. Killer Khalifa (The Libyan from UWF) vs. Big Red Reese Man I was all pumped for some Big Red Reese action here and this ended up being the least spirited Reese we have seen so far. We did get a fun flurry or two and watching his bump off the rope was something, but he looked less excited than normal. Too bad. David Gold vs. Jorge Clemente Gold rocking a promo in Spanish while wearing a caped Confederate flag was classic. I liked that better than the match. Jason the Terrible & Chicky Starr vs. Isaac Rosario & Super Medico Man Medico is wasted in these matches. The guy was a good talent. I really liked Chicky in this as he is just a slimy piece of shit and watching him come up with ways to avoid getting his ass kicked is entertaining. Rosario is a jobber, but he was treated as a dude who could hold his own here, so it wasn't as odd as it looked on paper. Decent match. Awesome sit down interview with Reese talking about his belief in God among other things. Invader 1/III v. Eric Embry/Fidel Sierra JIP. Man I wish we had this in full. The crowd is molten for this and it is joine dint he midst of one hell of an FIP section, with some fun cut offs and good heeling. A little over four minutes of this are shown and it is all action, but in a way that makes sense. Possible EXTRA The bearded Colon interview features him in a PWI shirt if that helps identify it. Clips of the Invader/Jason match might merit extra inclusion as it seemed to be furthering feud and featured an awesome bump from Jason. EXTRA The rest is stuff I've already seen or squashes.
November 3, 201311 yr comment_5570360 It's likely that interview with Colon is during the Hansen feud. Carlos never had the bearded look around that time except for when he 'quit' and Hugo tried to track him down. It seemed that WWC basically stopped trying to do anything noteworthy with Super Medico around this time. He would leave around May of 87 and head back to the WWF, where a shiny gold mask and suit awaited him. They would also do the same thing with Invader 3 eventually, not booking him into anything meaningful and keeping him on the Junior title treadmill. Isaac Rosario is a close friend of Carlos Colon. They met when Carlos showed up at the training gym run by Barba Roja in New Jersey, they were students together. Apparently, Carlos (at that time he was around 13 years old) arrived at the gym and spooked everybody because he had a striking physical resemblance to Isaac Rosario's recently deceased brother (he had died the week before in an accident). They've been tight as brothers since then. Rosario has served as a trainer for many years (many local wrestlers were trained by him, for example Thunder and Lightning) and had the 2005 Aniversario dedicated to him.

He'll round up all of his colleagues, Super Medico, Invader 3, etc. and they'll go to Carlos' house and try everything possible to get him out. Hugo asks if it's possible for him and a cameraman to tag along. Invader remarks that Hugo seems to love chasing after gossip and news (Hugo says he loves it) and he thinks Hugo will get in trouble one of these days trying to get the scoops since there are times one needs privacy. Inavder closes by saying that he'll round everyone up and they are going to Carlos' house. TNT squash win over Pedro Santos.
