Orton sells a lot for Rice, taking a big bump over the top. Orton comes off the top *to the floor* with an axe handle for the DQ, then gives Rice a superplex and one-arm piledriver post-match. Only went 3 minutes. 2. The Midnight Rockers v Mike Smith/Mark Wagner This goes 2 minutes but is totally worth it as Mike Smith not only has the blandest jobber name ever (it's like a sample name you'd see on a form as an example, like Mike Smith, 1234 Main St.) but he is arguably one of the worst wrestlers to ever make tape. He's like 6'6" and doughy, and cannot do lock ups or rope run. His leg drops were incredible, landing with his body horizontal. And he does the same off the middle rope (nearly falling off the ropes as he climbed up!!). Just incredible. 3. Soldat Ustinov v Darryl Olsen This was really short and unmemorable. 4. Wahoo McDaniel v Jim Thomas This was also really short, and Wahoo seriously wins with just a chop to the chest. Not even a stiff chop. Just a chop. 5. Curt Hennig v Kevin Kelly – AWA title I think every wrestler in the AWA comes out to "Bad to the Bone" at this point. This match got a little over 10 minutes, but ended just as it was starting to pick up and get good. Hennig is working heel, though both are acting like heels. Hennig stalled a bunch to start, but Kelly started kicking Curt's legs allowing him to take his flipping bump in the ropes. Match gets hot as the actually work a nice punch exchange, but it ends pretty weakly with Hennig shifting his weight on a suplex and getting the pin. Not bad, but not worth a nomination.
