It looks like Assassin is bleeding through his yellow mask but he started the match that way so no blood flowing here. : ( Hennig is such a sympathetic babyface at this stage. I think I may have liked the McGhee match better surprisingly enough but this was interesting enough that you guys should take a look. I don’t know if I would fight to keep it though. Lynch 11.1
June 1, 201114 yr comment_5472287 I actually liked this the best of the three arena matches from that show. Henning was just a pleasure to watch, working a layered babyface comeback. His selling was so much smarter here than the cartoonish shit from later in his career, and his hope spots always clicked. I've also gotten really into Assassion as a vicious bastard. He didn't do anything flashy but his shit all came off as painful and mean. I didn't quite buy that he would have been pinned off a bodyslam gone wrong, but that was my only quibble with the match. Thumbs up.
