But he looked like Mark Spitz. The matwork in this was fun, and Hans bumping made the moves look way more dangerous, like taking a neckbreaker and accidentally having his leg awkwardly folded behind him. Lots of cool stuff like that. Brad wins with an awesome shoot German suplex, Tamon Honda style. 2. Col. DeBeers v Alex Knight Your standard DeBeers squash, Knight wasn't very good. 3. Sgt. Slaughter v Earthquake Ferris Hey, you know who wasn't good? Earthquake Ferris! He actually went for a splash off the middle rope, but fell off twice trying to climb up. It looked sooooo dangerous. I thought he was going to die. Not a pretty match. 4. Tim Patterson v Bruiser Brody Brody stalls for over a minute to start, then locks on some side headlocks. He boots the guy right in the face which was nice, but then gets DQ'd for hitting Tim into the ringpost on the floor. 5. The Midnight Rockers v Buddy Rose/Doug Somers This is not the famous one, and would need a BIT more to get a nomination. It wasn't far off, though. Match only goes about 6 minutes, and had some real good moments. Opening saw a one-armed push-up contest with Rose and Michaels. Rose is way flabby here but the opening minutes saw him move so quickly, really impressive. He took what appeared to be a huge bump off the apron to the floor, but the camera missed almost all of it. Michaels looks all spry and energetic in his segments, hitting a nice superkick, and then Somers works really nicely with Marty. Ending comes when Somers takes a big bump getting thrown off the top rope, and Marty hits a big crossbody ("He must've been over 14 feet in the air!!"). This was fun but was so rushed and short. I'm on the fence.

June 16, 201114 yr comment_5473503 Brad Rheingans v Hans DeHass Brad working a monkey flip while keeping a wristlock on was AWESOME. God Damn Rheingans was great on offense. His shoot German finish fucking ruled. Stan Hansen promo. He says damn a lot. Col. Debeers v. Alex Knight Yeah Knight sucked. Col Debeers promo. I love how non-foreign he sounds. His comment about Americans listening to "jungle music" is lovely. Sgt. Slaughter v. Earthquake Ferris Ferris obsessive ass wiggling early was troubling. Boy Ferris sucked. The crowd is into Sarge and he plays off them enough to keep this interesting. I also thought his diving lariat looked good as a finish. Bruiser Brody v. Tim Paterson Decent enough steamrolling squash. Bruiser/Sheik promo on Blackwell Midnight Rockers v. Buddy Rose/Doug Somers Already nominated Scott LeDoux promo talking about how he has asked for a match with Larry Z. Midnight Rockers promo. Rose comes out and slaps Shawn and then hides behind Sherri Martel. EXTRA
