The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) vs. Isaac Rosario & Steve Simpson (March 1985) Yep that is the Steve Simpson from World Class as a rookie here and the Sheeps are at full strength with Boyd outside as their manager. This is a squash.

Frankie "The Thumper" Lancaster vs. Perro Santos (March 1987) Squash.

Abdullah the Butcher vs. Steve Blackman (March 1987) Yep it's the WWE Steve Blackman getting squashed here.

Killer Khalifa vs. Raul Reyes (March 1987) Squash. Jason the Terrible vs. Armando Salgado (March 1987) Squash.

The next show starts with clips of Invader I/TNT from 3/28/87 with TNT in a sleeper and juicing like a madman as wrestlers are brawling around them.

Universal Heavyweight Title: Carlos Colon © vs. Jason the Terrible (March 1987) Rare big title match on TV. Jason attacks Colon before the bell and works over Colon's right leg early. Colon would make a one-legged comeback before the rudos would come out to attack him for the DQ. They were trying to injure his leg like Colon injured Chicky Starr's but the tecnicos would run out to make the save as the crowd goes nuts.

The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) vs. Gino Dellaserra & Charlie Mann (March 1985) Squash.

Next we get Chicky Starr's Sport Shop with Huracan Castillo Jr.

Huracan Castillo Jr. & Miguel Perez Jr. vs. Gran Mendoza & Bob Heffernan (March 1987) This had some decent action but ended in a no contest when the referee couldn't get control of both teams.

The next show starts with a Sheepherders squash from Southwest.

Super Medico (Jose Estrada) vs. Assassin #2 (April 1987) Easy win for Medico.

Keith Larsen vs. Mr. X (April 1987) Spotlight match for Larsen.

Huracan Castillo Jr. & Miguel Perez Jr. vs. Gran Mendoza & Bob Heffernan (April 1987) This is the same match from earlier.

I don't see a disc 40 thread.

Wow, that Invader vs. TNT clip sounds intense. There's an angle that set up the feud. TNT was wrestling a debuting masked wrestler called El Halcon Rojo. Halcon Rojo surprised everyone with how well he performed, but in the end, a pissed off TNT slapped on the Cobra Dinamita and got the win. Post match, TNT refused to wake up El Halcon Rojo from the Cobra Dinamita and left with El Profe. Suddenly, a desperate Invader 1 shows up and frantically tries to wake up the masked wrestler to no avail. He takes off the mask and continues (unsuccesfully) to try to wake him up. El Halcon Rojo is not foaming, but bleeding from the mouth. TNT comes back and attacks Invader.

The following week there was an interview, where it was revealed that El Halcon Rojo was Invader's brother wrestling under a mask. Invader vowed revenge against TNT. The end of the clip is Invader demanding a match with TNT and getting a contract signed.

The Colon vs. Jason match is actually part of the slow burn set up for the Hercules Ayala turn. Hercules did not show up (or showed up late, there were two Jason matches where this happened, I'm not certain which one this is).

The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) vs. Isaac Rosario & Steve Simpson Is this the first appearance of the Herders on tv/in WWC? The flag gimmick was in full effect here. This was indeed a squash, but it was more interesting to watch than some of the other squashes, because it was worked somewhat competitively, and the Herders were doing shit like spinning back elbows and pelvic thrusts to block monkey flips which you don't really expect from them. Enjoyable for what it was and if this is the first appearance of them in WWC I could see it as an EXTRA depending on set length.

Frankie "The Thumper" Lancaster vs. Perro Santos I felt compelled to watch this closely to make sure this was actually Frankie Lancaster winning a squash. And sure enough it was Frankie Lancaster winning a squash.

Abdullah the Butcher vs. Steve Blackman Already seen this on another disc.

Next two squashes are nothing of note.

The Invader/TNT clip is indeed awesome as TNT is FUCKED UP with blood, the stadium is rocking, the whole locker room is running around in the ring/infield beating the fuck out of each other. Then somehow it ends up with Jason in the ring absolutely destroying Invader while TNT stumbles around the in field. Guaranteed EXTRA

Carlos Colon © vs. Jason the Terrible Kinda funny to see someone go after Carlos leg immediately. One thing I really like about Colon is how he counters from underneath, as you forget he is a really good athlete so when he does something like an enziguri it's legitimately surprising. Jason is relentless on the leg and I really loved the spot with Colon kicking the mask to no avail, before he sort of uses his arm to push his knee for extra pressure to knock Jason away. Colon fights his way back, but the heels show up and go to town on Colon's leg as a group, which leads to a wild brawl with face locker room showing up for the save. This was a really great tv segment, but way to short to nominate as a match. Still this is an EXTRA.

Second Herders squash was fun too, though not at the level of the first. Huracan Castillo Jr. & Miguel Perez Jr. vs. Gran Mendoza & Bob Heffernan This was pretty good, better than I expected actually. Mendoza and Heffernan were actually a decent heel team as they had a scummy look and a solid enough command of the basics. There were several fun spots in this, including a good looking delayed hot shot and a nasty looking DDT that Castillo ate. This was chugging along fine when it had a b.s. ending but it was fun while it lasted.

Super Medico (Jose Estrada) vs. Assassin #2 Any clue who Assassin 2 was? He was a glorified jobber, but the guy took fucking nuts bumps all the time. He actually took a decent amount of this match, after almost killing himself on a bump over the top. I really liked the delivery of his offense, especially his suplex. Medico is always fun to watch, it's a shame he didn't get more competitive matches. Keith Larson sighting!
