Solar II/Stuka/El Acertijo v. Los Bravos (Talisman/El Dandy/Guerrero Negro)

Formula lucha match which I really mean as a compliment. We get an opening mat and standing exchanges, a rudo brawling fall, and a third fall with some dives, a star a triple team submission with the sixth guy crawling in and pinning everyone. I like the Bravos they are a fun rudo trio, and this was a cool chance to see Acertijo, who was an awesome barrell chested agile dude, who kept countering armdrag and monkey flip attempts by landing on his feet. I am going to throw this out there to see what other folks think although I am not wedded to it.

Kung Fu/Mogur/Rokambole v Jerry Estrada/Egipcio/As Charro

Happy to see my man As Charo again, this was before the mask match, and used to set it up. There was some fun stuff here, big Jerry bump, fun Kung Fu stuff, but nothing to push this on to a set.

Ringo Mendoza/Atlantis/Ultraman v Satanico/Masakre/MS-1

Always excited to see the infernales, and this was a solid trios match, with everyone looking good. Neat to see Ultraman here, as he doesn't show up a ton in CMLL and he is agile and awesome in this match. Felt cuspish until the epic back and forth punch exchange between Satanico and Ringo which pushed it over the top for me. We got a nifty post match brawl with Pirata running in and attacking his ex teamates.

Pirata Morgan/BabyFace/Cien Caras v La Fiera/Lizmark/Rayo De Jalisco Jr.

Very good match. Focused on the Babface v. La Fiera feud and both guys chew chunks out of each others head. Fiera has rivers of blood flowing down his face, is still running off some cool spots and big bumps. Babyface is a nasty rudo. The other guys are in the background, but we still get some nutty Pirata bumps, cool Cien v. Rayo and a crazy Rayo dive. Solid nomination

Acertijo/Solar II/Stuka vs. Los Bravos (El Dandy/Guerrero Negro/Talisman) (September 1986)

Dandy looked like fucking Brett Sawyer here with the hair and the red tights. Like Phil said this was a good formula style trios match with everyone being good in their roles and I liked seeing Acertijo here but this wasn't anything special as a nomination.

Kung Fu/Mogur/Rokambole vs. As Charro/El Egipcio/Jerry Estrada (September 1986)

Again another good trios match with a story here revolving around Mogur/As Charro building up to their mask match. Jerry gave us his bumps and Kung Fu had some nifty spots but again nothing worth a nomination.

Los Infernales (Masakre/MS-1/Satanico) vs. Atlantis/Ringo Mendoza/Ultraman (September 1986)

Fun seeing Ultraman here and he's fired up which is nice. I really dug the Ringo/Satanico exchanges here while the Atlantis/MS-1 section wasn't bad either. Atlantis hit a sweet somersault plancha on MS-1 to take the 1st fall. Ultraman was interesting here as he didn't stay in long but when he came in he looked great. Infernales finally got their teamwork going in the 2nd fall and pushed them to taking it to even the odds then following it up with a strong start to the 3rd fall until Ultraman kicked off the comeback brawling with Masakre followed up by Ringo & Satanico having an awesome punching exchange. The rudos start going for masks so Ultraman goes wild fighting them off before Atlantis could do the same as the pace has intensified. The Infernales were too strong though and finished the tecnicos off easily until Pirata Morgan who was in the next match comes out and jumps Satanico as he is pissed about being kicked out of the Infernales with this setting up their hair match coming up. This was a really damn good match and I think it moves forward fairly easily.

Babe Face/Cien Caras/Pirata Morgan vs. La Fiera/Lizmark/Rayo de Jalisco Jr. (September 1986)

This is the Babe/Fiera show as they go to fucking war on each other drawing out the juice from the other's head in violent action and Fiera who is covered in blood still does his normal high spots and bumping which was great. The other guys had their spots here as Rayo had some good exchanges with Cien and you get the standard great Pirata bumps but these guys were just secondary to the Fiera/Babe greatness. Solid nomination.
