Posted April 3, 201114 yr comment_5468927 Sgt. Slaughter v. Col. Debeers This was as fun as a non-bloody plunder match can be. The battle for the helmet was fun as shit. There were some nasty shots with said helmet and brutal shots outside the ring. The ending wasn't what I wanted until Sheik started stabbing Slaughter in the head. If the Boot Camp with Sheik was #1 on the WWF set, and this is half as good as that match, it would still hit #50 or so. Nomination.
April 3, 201114 yr comment_5468938 Another one that I enjoyed but didn't think was particularly stand outish. I won't argue against any Sarge match, but I don't think this is going to hold up favorably to a lot of other stuff
May 4, 201213 yr comment_5501679 Boot Camp Match: Sgt. Slaughter vs. Col. DeBeers (12/13/88) DDP managing DeBeers is great. Gotta love Sarge wearing a white t-shirt under his tights to cover his fat. Both men just pound on each other here and this is based completely on strikes instead of weapons although DeBeers did use the security rope. Sarge would finally get the helmet and used it on DeBeers before nailing him with the Slaughter Cannon which was the gateway to the Cobra Clutch and as Sarge had it locked on Sheik Adnan & Iron Sheik ran in for the DQ. This was pretty good stuff and I'll push it forward.
