Buddy Rose Buddy is always fun, and he takes a crazy Race bump to the floor, but not competitive enough to make a set. Brad Reighnens v. Sheik Adnan Al Kaisee More of an angle then a match as Brad gets jumped by a mask man, turns out to be Brody with Greg running in and popping him, and then Greg gets wasted, and Verne runs out and beats up Brody and Sheik. April 4, 201114 yr comment_5468994 1. Curt Hennig/Scott Hall v Earthquake Ferris/Terry Hendrickson Extended squash. Hendrickson was dressed up like a "punk" with tattered army greens and rainbow hair. Verne cannot get over this guy's hair. Ferris is really not good at all. He has size but a really unimpressive build and wears dorky long tights and a singlet. I mark for fat guys, but Ferris may be the most uninteresting fat guy I've ever seen. 2. Buddy Rose v Billy Anderson Good Buddy show, but not quite enough to nominate. Tons of elbowdrops and a Harley Race bump that sees him hook his feet on the bottom rope and fall to the floor head first. Fun stuff. 3. Brad Rheingans v Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissey Match doesn't really start as Brody comes in under a mask and mauls him and it ends with Verne getting in the ring and going nuts and locking on a sleeper. 4. Stan Hansen v Leon White – AWA title This was awesome! Vader looks like a big chubby goober, like Baron Harkonnen from Dune. They start with White working a headlock and it's really neat as Hansen is clawing at White's face to get out of it. Hansen works White's hand over a bunch by just stomping it really hard. Hansen bounces White's hand off the turnbuckle and bends it over the ropes and tugs and damn does that look painful. White back with huge meaty chops and some big shoulderblocks, and they even exchange kicks to the face! We roll to the floor and brawl through the crowd, and I assume it will end in a DCO, but White throws him back in and we brawl to Hansen eventually winning. Fun stuff and a NOMINATION!
June 15, 201114 yr comment_5473496 Earthquake Ferris/Barry Hendrickson v. Scott Hall/Curt Henning Hendrickson's hair is ridiculous but I'm still not sure it's as absurd as Sean Baxter's was from the Badd Company squash. REally Hendrickson feels like a low rent Chris Colt which is pretty much the worst thing someone can say about a wrestler. The spot with Hall whipping him into the ropes and Hennig hitting a running dropkick was pretty great. Hall/Hennig promo. Buddy Rose v. Billy Anderson Rose's offense was fun here. His stomps always look great, but I liked his elbow drop sequence, his ab stretch looked cool, his knee, his suplex, fuck everything just looked really good. Anderson's comeback is really great because of Buddy's reaction to everything. Seriously his facial expression after the first hip toss is awesome and I love that he took his nutty backwards bump in a fucking match against a jobber. Rose's DDT finish was cool too. Consensus seems to be that this is fun, but not good enough for the set. That's probably true, but I thought this pretty well destroyed the Lawler v. Joe squash that Eric liked. Buddy Rose promo Brad Rheingans v. Sheik Adnan-Al Kaissie As noted not really a match. The masked Brody comes in and destroys Rheingans.
