Jason the Terrible & TNT vs. Hercules Ayala & Miguel Perez Jr. (April 1987)

I liked Ayala's rapid bodyslams on the rudos before they went to the floor to regroup and Perez showed some good fire at the start as well. The rudos get the heat on Ayala as they go to commercial and they would work him over before getting the hot tag to Miguelito who looked good to start but TNT would put him down and the rudos then went to work on him. TNT looked solid here and eventually put Miguelito out with his nerve hold getting a big win.

Next we get clips from the Sheepherders taking the WWC Tag Titles from the Renegade Warriors on 4/5/87. This looked fun.

Killer Khalifa vs. Carlos Ocasio (April 1987)

Squash.

Then we get Chicky Starr's Sport Shop with the Sheepherders and this was good.

The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) vs. Keith Larsen & Armando Salgado (April 1987)

Squash.

The Invader vs. Bob Heffernan (April 1987)

No idea on why this is JIP. Heffernan was in control for most of this until Invader locked him in an inside cradle to win.

This starts with clips of Super Medico/Frankie Lancaster from 4/5/87 which had a controversial finish prompting Huracan Castillo Sr. to hold up the title.

The Renegade Warriors (Chris & Mark Youngblood) vs. Assassin #2 & Killer Khalifa (April 1987)

Assassin screams jobber here but this was a fun little sprint with everyone looking fairly good.

Hercules Ayala vs. Julio Reyes (April 1987)

Squash.

Keith Larsen vs. The Assassin (April 1987)

Good win for Keith.

Huracan Castillo Jr. & Invader III vs. Frankie "The Thumper" Lancaster & Satanico (April 1987)

Fairly easy win for the tecnicos.

The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) vs. Carlos Ocasio Armando Salgado (April 1987)

Squash.

Hercules Ayala & Mr. Kareem Muhammad vs. Rodolfo Huertas & Ramon Torres (October 1987)

Squash.

Ron Starr vs. Miguel Ramos (October 1987)

Ron is back to being plain old Ron instead of Rambo Ron here.

Next we get clips of Kendo Nagasaki & Mr. Pogo winning the WWC Tag Titles from the Renegade Warriors.

Then we get Chicky Starr's Sport Shop with Invader III which of course ended in an attack with Chicky giving Invader III a brainbuster on the floor. Invader I came out which brought out Grizzly Boone who squashed him.

Grizzly Boone vs. Luis Rodriguez (October 1987) Boone destroys this guy.

The Samoan Swat Team (Fatu & Samu) vs. Armando Salgado & Angel Salazar (October 1987)

SST was in their early stages as a team here and wasn't in full savage mode yet.

Next we get clips of Colon/TNT vs. Ayala/Kareem from Caguas. Fans were going nuts here.

Carlos Colon & TNT vs. The Crusher (Rip Morgan) & ? (October 1987)

Total squash especially when the nameless guy was in the ring.

Jason the Terrible & TNT vs. Hercules Ayala & Miguel Perez Jr. is part of the Hercules Ayala slow burn heel turn. Ayala did not come in to help Miguelito at the conclusion of the match. A week or two after this, El Ejercito de la Justicia held a meeting to clear things up with Hercules with regards to him not helping or being late when the others needed help.

He would turn heel shortly after this.

The Sports Shop segments sound great.

I don't know if all of the title change clips should be extras, but they should be considered.

The Colon/TNT vs. Ayala/Kareem was set up by this attack on Carlos prior to a Universal title defense against Kareem.

Jason the Terrible & TNT vs. Hercules Ayala & Miguel Perez Jr About 8:20 shown. There is a brief clip, but I don't think a whole lot is missing. I wasn't in love with this, but I thought this was an interesting match in terms of dynamics and it held my attention more closely than a lot of the matches I've watched. Terrible/TNT seem like the ultimate PR monster team, so I was surprised to see a really effective and quality face shine in this. Honestly the face shine in this match was more engaging and interesting than a lot of segments of that sort I've seen in matches involving better teams. I especially liked the way TNT reacted to everything and watching Jason bump drill for Perez was something. The heel cut off was actually well timed and looked good and I thought the heel offense was strong as well. Again I really like Jason's leaping clothesline, and seeing the heels hit a double dropkick of all things was something. I thought they could have drawn out the finish a bit more, but I also liked the idea of a clean heel win, when the faces just ran out of juice. I don't feel super strongly about this one, but the novelty of the teams and the way this was worked, makes it a nomination to me.

Clips of Renegade Warriors and Herders might be an extra Herders on Chicky's show (and the pre-tape earlier in the disc) were fun segments.

The squash they had on here was decent.

The Invader vs. Bob Heffernan JIP but I don't think much is cut. Heffernan leaping out of his shoes to avoid the Invader punch (heart punch?) off the ropes was pretty funny. It was weird because after that Heffernan takes control and just kicks Invader's ass. It's kind of strange to say this, but the more I watch Invader the more I think he was sort of booked like a Rey Jr. type in PR in the sense that he was super over, but he was always presented as much of an underdog than the other top faces and his matches were built around selling and "flashy" (for the era) spots. Anyway this was short and he won on a flash pin.

The clip of Medico v. Lancaster is really just the closing run. A couple of ref bumps, some decent action, but I don't think this feud really really merits extra consideration.

The Renegade Warriors (Chris & Mark Youngblood) vs. Assassin #2 & Killer Khalifa Very fun sprint here. Not everything connected all that well, but the pace and energy of this was off the charts. Lots of rope running spots and Assassin 2 took another nut case bump. Too short to nominate, but fun. Keith Larsen vs. The Assassin Decent, but basically a squash.

Huracan Castillo Jr. & Invader III vs. Frankie "The Thumper" Lancaster & Satanico Fun quasi-squash. I loved Lancaster in this as a stooge and a guy sort of flying around in between looking like a moron. These babyface teams in WWC can be fun in this sort of match. Another decent Herders squash.

Muhammed tag and Starr squashes weren't much.

Clips of Warriors losing tag belts was okay.

Chicky Starr dropping Invader III with a buster should definitely be an EXTRA

SST squash was fun. Not an epic level SST squash, but they busted out some pretty good offense, including a superplex, that ended up basically being a snap DDT off the top which of course was completely nuts.

Colon/TNT v. Ayala/Kareem clips are good and may merit an EXTRA

Carlos Colon & TNT vs. The Crusher (Rip Morgan) & ? Really just a showcase tag for the stars here, but it was fun for what it was.
