Steve Simpson v. Timothy Flowers

Maybe my expectations were just really low since I think both of these guys suck normally, but this was actually a pretty good match. It goes to a draw and that is pretty obvious early. It is basic but it is for the most part well executed, laid out basic. I really liked Flowers bumping and heeling in this and that is coming from a guy who thinks Flowers sucked shit. Simpson's fast, young babyface act was believable to me as a kid but hasn't held up over the years, though here it looked fine and I really dug his cross body. They did some decent near falls down the stretch though the ending was pretty stupid as they were standing around forever "struggling" for a suplex when the bell rang. If I thought this had any chance of making the set I would nominate it, but I can't see it breaking a top 75 and probably not a top 100 given the recent influx of stuff from Portland. Still above average is better than you would think given who was involved.

Buddy Rose v. Steve Pardee

The early going of this was Buddy being a cocky asshole, then being overmatched, then going to test of strength/handshake schtick was really great stuff. Loved Pardee returning the slap on a rope break and Buddy getting caught going for a cheapshot and taking a crazy over the top atomic drop bump ruled. Awesome spot with Rose doing his cartwheel avoidance of monkey flip spot and then going for one of his own only for Pardee to wag his ass at him. Buddy takes control out of a wristlock and runs through some nice offense. Really loved the spot with Buddy blocking the sunset flip with a straight right, then stomping Pardee's face and going to an ab stretch smack dab in the middle of the ring. Pardee finally comes back off of a superplex attempt and Buddy ends up taking his crazy corner bump. Rose ends up hung up in the ropes and Pardee throws some shots leading to the awesome Buddy back bump through the ropes. Pardee does an ab stretch cradle for a near fall and then another roll up for another near fall. Rose locks Pardee's neck in the ropes and won't let go for the DQ. Hat the fact that this ended on a DQ but the action was really good and the DQ looked vicious. I agree that this should be on the set.

Ricky Vaughn/Bobby Jaggers promo. Vaughn begs for the tag titles to be returned. Jaggers talks about a parade they will be in and pulls out lawn chairs. This seems like an important promo though I'm not sure if we will have the tv around it to make sense of it. EXTRA

Billy Two Eagles v. Karl Steiner

Well I thought this was awesome. Steiner was just vicious as fuck in the early going, mauling Two Eagles with nasty forearms and stiff shots, until Two Eagles came back with some flashy, flippy offense. 80's highspot offense was so much more entertaining to me for reasons I can't even explain. Really love how Steiner kept leaping to the floor to avoid the speed of Two Eagles and Two Eagles was awesome showing fire, working the arm with some cool spots, et. Two Eagles front flip off the back body drop escape was totally great and was a great representation of what this match was about. Also absolutely loved Steiner's sick snake eyes, Two Eagles wiping out with a sick bump to the floor on a hope spot and Steiner slamming him on the floor and beating the shit out of him as time expired. Seriously I thought this was good as fuck.

Jerry Grey v. Mike Miller

Mike Miller looks disturbingly similar to Samu of all people here. This was another pretty fun match. Mike Miller really gets over well for offense and Grey showed a lot of fire for a guy you knew wasn't going to win. I like Miller's neckbreaker as a finisher as he throws it with the sort of deliberation you would expect from someone who is actually trying to take your head off. This was a good episode.

Buddy Rose/Mega Maharshi pormo. This was pretty fucking awesome. Rose and Maharshi or however you spell it talk shit on Bobby Jaggers in epic fashion. Jaggers and Vaughn show upa nd Jaggers tells the heels to go to hell. EXTRA.

Mega Maharashi/Buddy Rose promo. Maharashi is rambling about an Oregon fire that couldn't be put out. He calls Rose a natural wonder, measures his arm and then notes that Rose isn't on steroids. Rose accuses Ricky Vaughn of being on roids. Rose puts over Mega's "religious cult." Awesome. EXTRA

Ricky Vaughn v. Karl Steiner

This is just the third fall of a 2/3 falls match. After a few minutes they take a nutty double bump over the top. Steiner loses to a full nelson and is great selling it. Steiner is shockingly good.

Mike Miller/Karl Steiner promo. Miller is freaking out so Vaughn shows up in the crows nest and announces he is getting a title shot against Miller next week.

Finish of Rip Oliver v. Billy Jack Haynes. Jaggers runs in and breaks up the full nelson and turns heel, destroying the ref and Billy Jack. EXTRA
