Buzz Sawyer v. Tiny Anderson Squash.

Jonathon Boyd interview.

Destroyer v. Eric Emery Up until the closing few minutes I thought this sucked. Really boring and a lot of unconvincing looking stuff. The running piledriver finish was really cool though.

Buddy Rose/Rip Oliver interview.

Buddy Rose/Rip Oliver v. Joe Lightfoot/Jay Youngblood First fall was a lot of fun. Lightfoots quick escapes worked really well and Oliver was taking the babyface offense like a champ. Buddy fleeing in terror every time Youngblood even moved toward him was great. Finishing senton was pretty cool too. The early work in the second fall is based off of a headlock but I really liked how they worked it as Oliver was good working unique escape attempts from the bottom keeping it interesting. Oliver eventually breaks free and Rose comes in to work over Lightfoot. His taunts are great and his offense is sharp. Lightfoot's FIP is pretty good almost entirely because of heels who work really deliberately on offense, cover for a flub of his well, and just generally amp up their act. Seriously I fucking LOVED the way Rose worked in this fall as everything he did looked like it was done with maximum impact. Lightfoot had some good hope spots too. Crowd went batshit for Youngblood who lights up Rose. Lightfoot is tagged back in but misses a big dropkick and Rose wins with his spinning backbreaker. I didn't mind the third fall starting out with Lightfoot in peril and Rose was good with the taunts, but man that back body drop spot with Lightfoot landing on his feet and then selling it was not good. Thesz press near fall/hope spot on Rose was kind of awkward but cool, but the subsequent hot tag tease was kind of botched up. Lightfoot just looked really sloppy in the third fall in general. On top of it the heat section really seemed to drag. Once Youngblood came in things got hot and Rose starting taking some of his classic big bumps. Finish was clever. I liked the fist two falls enough to back this as a nomination, but the third fall felt really tedious.

Rose/Oliver interview interrupted by Jonathon Boyd. They hype the Cage match.

Buddy Rose/Mike Masters interview. God Masters promo work is so forced and hokey. By comparison to Buddy it's sad.

Finish of Masters/Borne shown

Matt Borne/Buddy Rose contract signing. Stip is loser leaves town OR loser has to be manager of the winner for a year. EXTRA

Steve Regal interview.

Stasiak/Rose/Masters promo. Rose is great again running down the list of people he has "chased out of the Pacific Northwest."

Buddy Rose v. King Parsons Lots of Buddy stalling early which won't appeal to some, but it does to me. They end up going to a full nelson spot with Iceman butt bumping out. Parsons locks on one of his own and they do some fun comedy spots around Buddy trying to get out using a similar tactic and just getting rag dolled. They break the mold and Rose does his cartwheel escape from the monkey flip attempt, but gets bumped to the floor shortly after. Really amusing moment as Rose claimed that Parsons cheated on a test of strength by applying some sort of illegal pressure with his fingers. Buddy takes over briefly and throws Parsons to the floor, but Parsons comes back with some headbutts and a pair of dropkicks with Buddy bumping like a beast for everything. Butt bump gets a near fall, but then Parsons ends up leapfrogging into Sandy Barr knocking him out. Rocky Johnson ends up running in and working over Rose which causes him to get counted out when Barr is revived.

Steve Regal/Matt Borne interview.

Rocky Johnson v. Stan Stasiak This is only the first fall. Fun to watch how Stasiak sold befuddlement with Rocky's moveset.

Mike Masters/Billy White Cloud posing contest.

Buddy Rose v. Rocky Johnson This was a good match for what it was, but it's the sort of thing that I almost feel indifferent about. I wouldn't argue hard against it's inclusion on the set, but it feels like the sort of match that would be destined for the bottom ten. There were some really cool flashy Rocky spots, Rose was fun reacting to that, and I really loved the finish as Buddy was going for his backbreaker and Rocky got a nice escape for the flash pin. Still doesn't feel like a match that anyone HAS to see.

Buddy Rose interview.
