PP #18

Mike Masters v. Art Crews This started out as a fairly decent, albeit basic match but got boring real quick. Really tedious to get through.

Chris Colt v. Billy White Cloud Loved the early stuff with Colt being totally confounded by the various flashy arm drag variations, getting trampled under foot, bailing to the floor, then going for the handshake spot. The handshake spot was great because rather than the standard heel bit where you sort of wait and build the heat, he shot in at the first chance with a single leg and locked on a headscissors while grinning like an asshole. White Cloud ends up doing this really cool looking rolling leg take down later in the match that I also loved and man Colt is a scummy bastard throwing deliberate punches, arguing with the ref about every thing and just looking like an absolute piece of human shit. If Colt would have gotten a bit more of this match I would have nominated it.

Karate demonstration with Song breaking a shit load of concrete with his head while Rose talks shit on his behalf! Awesome. EXTRA

Kim Song/Buddy Rose v. Matt Borne/Steve Regal Fun opening stuff with Borne and Song that ends with Song getting stomped on a drop down attempt. Rose comes in and gets worked over a bit. Really cool spot with Rose whiffing on his back elbow which I don't think was all that common. Regal and Song end up in against each other and they do a weird parity thing where both guys hit a dropkick, then they both miss another attempt at the same time. Really cool sunset flip near fall with both partners getting involved. Borne ends up in the ring and gets busted open. Nice spot with Rose suckering Regal away from his corner just as Borne gets over for the tag leaving Borne stranded and bleeding with Song biting at his face. Regal gets the tag and comes in hot. Regal ends up rolling through on an attempted Rose press off the top for the first fall. Decent fall, though there was a lot of awkwardness in between the quality. 2nd Fall. Song and Regal had a nice rope running exchange and then some more parity work, before a nice floating headlock take down from Regal re-establishes the baby faces in control. Song gets beat on for a bit. Eventually Regal gets isolated by the heels and his mouth is cut so Buddy starts to fish hook him and kick him in the face. Regal just sort of strolls over and tags in Borne. Man this is strange structurally. Cool finish though this time with Rose floating through on Regal splash. Disjointed though it had some cool shit. Start of third fall is fisticuffs with Regal and Rose before Regal just gets dropped on the top rope. Regal takes over and buddy takes his bump through the ropes. Top rope ends up breaking down the stretch here, there is a ref bump, heels steal the match. This could have and should have been a lot better than it was. Post-match brawl and interview with all parties was more entertaining and fun than the match.
