Buddy was supposed to be pissed about a recent upset loss to Borne, and he really rag dolled the kid in the first fall. His sequence of backdrops and atomic drops to set up the pin looked absolutely brutal. Buddy started the second fall with some awesome body slams to continue the backwork theme. Borne came off really athletic, bumping around, in this phase of his career. Eventually, he countered Buddy's attack with an atomic drop and evened the match with his signature airplane spin. The match turned hot in the third fall, with Buddy upping his viciousness and Borne responding by biting a gouge in his forehead. Epic blade job by Buddy. I loved the shot of an old lady looking horrified in the front row as Buddy staggered in her direction. Borne had him up in the airplane spin and ripe for the decisive fall when Rip Oliver rushed in to interfere. A little bit of a down ending, but they worked an effective stricture that built up Borne as the athletic, young underdog. And the blood was something to see. Nomination.

- There were some VQ issues that kept me out of the flow of the match in the 1st fall. Rose wins after the backbreaker. 2nd fall and Rose executes a couple of great looking body slams. He abuses Borne some more until Borne changes the tide with an atomic drop. Borne eventually takes the fall iwth an airplane spin. IN the 3rd fall, Rose has Borne in a schoolboy pin but tries to hold the tights. He then proceeds to pull the tights when the ref is counting and lets goes when he stops the count. So, we get to see Borne's ass crack a few times. I missed what happened but Buddy ends covered in blood. Rip Oliver runs in for the DQ and that is that. FOr some reason, I couldn't really get into this match. I may have to watch it again but I am not going to nominate it at this time.

Very entertaining first fall as Buddy took some big impact bumps and Borne was fun as the flashy young babyface. Really enjoyed Rose slipping out of the back door on the airplane spin attempt and hitting the backbreaker for a near fall and then going back to it for the finish a few minutes later after softening Borne up some more.

Second fall has me right away as Borne can't get a slam because his back is still hurt so Buddy responds with a heaving slam, tossing Borne half way across the ring, before opening up on his lower back. Rose hits a great looking delayed vertical, but Borne ends up coming back with one of his own and Buddy takes a big bump off an atomic drop as Borne takes over. Rose goes for a counter with the backbreaker, but Borne sinks in the airplane spin for the second fall which was a cool reversal of sorts from the finish of the first fall.

The beginning of the third fall was solid stuff with good heat, but wasn't really connecting with me at first. Then Borne gets tired of Buddy's biting shit and bites a huge hole in his head. Buddy bleeds a massive gusher and Borne goes straight to work with it. At one point Buddy gets tied up in the ropes and Borne charges in and Buddy is able to strike back with a big kick. Cool moment as Buddy goes for a double axel handle but sort of spills over blind due to the blood loss as grandma cringes. Rose gets caught with the airplane spin and Rip hits the ring for the screwjob finish.

This is set worthy, but it's not something that I would have in the upper tier.
