Iron Sheik vs. Perro Santos (January 1988)

Squash.

Next we get Chicky Starr Sport Shop with Bobby Jaggers & Dan Kroffat.

The Invaders (I y III) vs. Kendo Nagasaki & Mr. Pogo (January 1988)

This has some decent back and forth action as the Japanese their strikes to get the advantage while Invaders would use rapid teamwork and double-teams to get the advantage. Invader III would miss a somersault senton off the top rope but he would kick out leading to the hot tag to Invader I who got a sleeper on Pogo before Kendo used a kendo stick on Invader I behind the ref's back to give his team the win. Okay for what it was.

Then we get clips of a Colon/Iron Sheik match from 1/6/88 with Chicky Starr getting involved. Lots of blood here.

Super Black Ninja (Keiji Muto) vs. Maelo Huertas (January 1988)

Spotlight match for Muto.

"Hangman" Bobby Jaggers & Dan Kroffat vs. Victor Jovica & Armando Salgado (January 1988)

Jovica makes it a tough match for the Gringos but they prevail in the end.

Next we get a Miguel Perez Jr. video.

The Renegade Warriors (Chris & Mark Youngblood) vs. Gran Mendoza & Random masked guy (January 1988)

Squash.

Miguel Perez Jr. vs. Gran Mendoza (January 1988)

Competitive match.

The Invaders (I y III) vs. Random masked men (January 1988)

Squash.

Super Black Ninja (Keiji Muto) vs. Carlos Ocasio (January 1988)

Another spotlight match for Muto.

"Hangman" Bobby Jaggers & Dan Kroffat vs. Maelo Huertas & Victor Jovica (January 1988)

Competitive match.

Next we get clips of a Huracan Castillo Jr./Eric Embry match from 1/6/88 that looked fun.

The Shiek squash with the pre-match promo was fun.

Love the homoerotic undertones of the Flower Shop episode with the Kansas Jayhawks.

The Invaders (I y III) vs. Kendo Nagasaki & Mr. Pogo This needed more of an arc to be a good match, but it was decent. Pogo and Nagasaki really don't have enough interesting offense to have a super strong match, but they did work hard and the Invaders always put in effort. We did get a big flip bump in this, but the finish sucked. Oh well.

Clips of Colon/Sheik might be an extra. Funny, blood, PR stuff.

Super Black Ninja (Keiji Muto) vs. Maelo Huertas Tremendously fun match, honestly one of the most fun matches I've seen on WWC tv. This was like one of those AWA squashes, where the undercard guy gets his spots so he doesn't look like complete shit, but you also have a badass heel going nuts with awesome looking shit. Muta hit a fucking awesome suplex in this and this great spinkick on a cut off that I market out for. He also took a hell of a bump for this guys rana early. Honestly I loved this and if it was three minutes longer I would have nominated it and fought for it on the set. EXTRA

Local promo with Kendo/Pogo/Black Ninja and Profe has some clips over it.

"Hangman" Bobby Jaggers & Dan Kroffat vs. Victor Jovica & Armando Salgado Man this was great fun too. I absolutely loved the early bit with Jovica getting the lick in on the cocky Kroffat and watching the faces get in some offense and Kroffat reeling from it was nice. The heels had fucking great offense in this. Kroffat is almost like the best version of Dynamite Kid here, flying around with snappy looking tackles and trying to break guys spines with suplexes. I also love old man Jaggers as the grumpy fat guy who comes in to hit dudes with lariats, and can't be bothered to stick around for any bullshit. There Hart Attack finish looked great too. This just needed to be a couple of minutes longer, but either way was worth watching. EXTRA

Perez video is a possible EXTRA

Renegade Warriors match was okay.

Miguel Perez Jr. vs. Gran Mendoza Mendoza is such a piece of shit. I really want to hit him in the face just looking at him and that is a compliment. He really does not have a ton of offense, and it is all simple, but he delivers it exactly how you want a heel to, and it when it comes time for Perez take him down to the mat or crush him with a dropkick he is more than game. This also had a fun finish. Solid little match.

Invaders squash was fast paced and solid

Super Black Ninja (Keiji Muto) vs. Carlos Ocasio Not quite as awesome as the first squash, but still a ton of fun with many of the same positives as the first match. Muta is actually in peril for chunks of this, but the ofense of Ocasio isn't as fun as you would hope. Still this was worth watching.

"Hangman" Bobby Jaggers & Dan Kroffat vs. Maelo Huertas & Victor Jovica Man I don't know. This is probably less than six minutes, but I kind of loved this. I can see an argument for it being dismissed out of hand because the best spots in this are not as good as the best spots in their first match and there is not a ton of meat. But for your matches built around heel in peril bumping/schtick, with the heels finding a way with the knock out blow at the end, this was almost perfect. Really Kroffat just looked outstanding in this getting his ass kicked. Right out of the gate he sets up this crazy spot where Huertas back flips off of his shoulders and hits an immediate dropkick and it is just out of this world for the time period. Then he is just as giving with Jovica and both him and Jaggers seem to be working over time with the stooging to make these two guys look good. You could maybe argue that this needed another minute or two of heel offense on the back end, but this kind of reminded me of the Buddy/Doug v. Baby Vader and Scrub match from the AWA Set. I at least want this one considered.

Eric Embry v. Huracan Castillo Jr JIP with both guys on the floor. No clue how much time was gone at that point. Kris is underselling this, as it looks to have been an outstanding match, but sadly we only get six minutes which I'm positive isn't enough. Still we get some crazy stuff in that time, with double juice, wild bumps to the floor, guys brawling on tables and teasing piledrivers, double cross body block collisions, et. Add another one to the "Embry was good as fuck in PR but all of his fucking matches are clipped or edited down to death". God damnit. EXTRA
