1. Boris Zukhov/Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissey v HD Haas/Harry Henderson

This wasn't very good. Long extended squash without much exciting offense save a big clothesline from Zukhov. The most fun thing in the match to me was Ron Trongard trying his damndest the whole match to put over that Zukhov had a hammer and sickle tattooed onto his forehead. I mean, it was clearly facepaint, but he just kept going on and on how crazy it must have been to get a tattoo on his forehead.

2. Col. DeBeers v Jake Milliman

I always like DeBeers extended squash matches, and this was really no different. He always makes his moves hurt, but he doesn't necessarily work really stiff. He had a couple great punches and elbow drops here, and the fans always seem into Milliman who is just a strange little man. Afterwards Scott Hall runs in to help Jake and looks like a total superstar. Him and DeBeers have a nice exchange that ends with Hall taking the forward piledriver on the floor.

3. Jimmy Snuka/Mike Rotunda/Steve Pardee v Larry Zbyszko/Buddy Rose/Doug Somers

This was really fun and feels like it deserves a nomination. It's about 15 minutes with constant action. Buddy Rose is Buddy Rose here, bumping and stooging all over, doing a great kneedrop and feeding into Snuka's offense nicely. Snuka was WAY over with the crowd and every time he comes in the fans flip out. I have never seen Pardee before but he was a real standout in this one, doing some cool offense (he catches Somers in an awesome spinebuster while Somers attempted a Thesz Press), and works face-in-peril nicely (really snapping back off the top rope following a hot shot). This was a fun match, so I have no problem giving this a NOMINATION!

God this went on forever. Ugh.

Col. Debeers v. Jake Milliman

For some reason Milliman reminds me of a fatter more interesting version of Grizzly Redwood. He really does have a "little engine that could" feel to him and the crowd really reacts to his jumping forearm and slam and seems really sad when he misses the second rope elbow. Debeers seems to get more vicious as the match goes along.

The Hall run-in post-match was really great. Debeers bumping for him was awesome and his offense looked really awesome. Debeers coming back with the cane while Hall was tied up with the hurt Milliman and then fucking crushing him with the face first piledriver on the floor was great stuff. This made me want to see a match between the two really bad. EXTRA

Jimmy Snuka/Mike Rotunda/Steve Pardee v Larry Zbyszko/Buddy Rose/Doug Somers

Man Sherri is a great second as her rah-rah act for Rose is just wonderful. Rose is a huge asshole early, doing his cartwheel escape and spitting at someone off camera. Pardee wagging his ass at Rose off of Rose's own monkey flip spot is apparent a staple of Rose/Pardee exchanges but it's something I find amusing everytime. The spinebuster out of Thesz press attempt was pretty sweet. I really like Zbyszko in this too as he has to be begged to come in at all, then comes in for ten seconds, tags out and then goes to bitch at Trongard while Snuka no sells shots to the head and kicks Roses's ass. Pardee goes face in peril and this segment includes some cool cut off spots. I really loved Somers backing him into a corner to keep him away from his corner at one point and Rose cutting off access with a chop that he bumped huge for was pretty sweet to. Rose does a hope step taunt after hitting his back elbow which was great but Pardee ends up reversing a suplex and gets the tag to Rotundo. Heels bump all over the fucking place at this point and Buddy ends up tied up into the ropes which leads to a fucking great spot with Somers getting whipped into him and Rose taking his crazy backwards bump through the ropes. Snuka and Pardee hit some fun offense off the ropes but Pardee whiffs on a dropkick and the heels lock him into the corner and beat him senseless. Ref Scott LeDoux tries to temper shit but the heels won't listen and he ends up back dropping Larry to the floor for a massive pop, DQing the heels right after. This was pretty god damned fun. Rotundo could have been replaced by anyone, but every body else in the match served a unique purpose and this seems like a pretty solid nomination to me.
