Posted May 6, 201114 yr comment_5470845 Tarzan White v. Tama Samoa This wasn't good at all really but it was nice to see a match with some actual action and relatively well done spots after the last disk. Ricky Santana/Scott Doring interview. This is Santana's debut interview. He reeks of Miami Vice. Brady Boone v.Joey Jackson Lots of parity grappling early and it was fairly well done. Boone has a really nice snap suplex. There is a lot of filler in this but the big spots were good. Boone appeared to be working kind of stiff at some points almost in a "fuck you rookie way." The drop down monkey flip Jackson hit looked great. Finish was sloppy. Pretty mediocre really but better than anything on the last disc. Brady Boone/Coco Samoa interview. Coco's selling an eye injury from salt to the eyes via Rip and is ridiculous here. Rip Oliver v. Coco Samoa (2/3 Falls) Oliver is pretty great early reeling from Coco's offense and selling the shit out of every blow. Coco pulls the old throat to the thumb spot that Rip was the master of and is really killing Rip with stiff shots. Oliver gets DQ'ed after a shot to the throat. This was actually fun . 2nd Fall starts same as the first with Oliver taking an ass beating. They end up on the floor and Coco gets slammed into the steel post, with both guys getting counted out. High energy match but real short and thus lacking. Abudda Dein interview (2x) Stony Burke v. Tama Samoa Pretty inoffensive face v. face match til the end run which sucked fierce. Ricky Santana/Vinnie Valentino Interview. Holy shit vinnie's get up is great. EXTRA Chris Colt v. Ricky Santana I was predisposed to like this coming in because of the fact that this represents the best possible culture clash with Santana as cocaine fueled ethnic club scene guy from Miami v. heroin fueled street hustler form scummiest part of Olympia. Forget that these stereotypes don't really match up timeline wise and just enjoy it. Anyway I enjoyed this. This is mostly colt being Colt and arguing with the ref/screaming at fans/et with Santana adding a nice bump and a cool leglock finish. Still I love Colt jawing with Grandma in the front row until she hits him and the face on Colt when Sandy Barr grabs his beard to break an illegal pin attempt enough to nominate this. No one other than me will like this all that much but i don't care. This is my Abby v. Wajima. Coco Samoa interview. Did he actually say something about grabbing Oliver's ass?? Rip Oliver v. Coco Samoa (2/3 Falls) This doesn't start with the energy of the previous match but Coco eventually builds it up and he gets in some good licks. Oliver went to the tights to take the upper hand once and eventually ends up taking over after a nice clothesline coming out of the corner. They end up on the floor and Coco gets posted. Oliver rips at his face. Coco tries a floatover roll up but Oliver escapes only to get hit with a flying headbutt off the ropes for a quick first fall for Coco. Pretty good stuff. 2nd Fall starts off hot and heavy and they end up going into a rope running spot with Sandy Barr getting creamed off of it and Rip gets DQ'ed to take the second straight fall. Olive retains the title since it can't change hands on DQ. If this had been slightly more developed I might have gone to bat for it. Brady Boone/Scott Doring interview. Boy Doring is shit on the mic. Mike Miller/Abbuda Dein/Rip Oliver interview.
