1. Col. DeBeers v Alan Reynolds

Quick squash for DeBeers, which is not surprising. But I really like DeBeers squashes.

2. The Samoan SWAT Team v Ray Odyssey/Shawn Baxter

I felt really bad for Surfer Ray in this one as Baxter doesn't tag in at all and it's up to Odyssey to take a 4 minute beating. I really wanted to see Baxter get walloped, as he had this fantastic blonde Nikki Sixx haircut. Seemed like he'd be a fun beatdown. As it was though, the SST destroyed Odyssey here, throwing him with numerous back suplexes (one off the top rope!) and a bunch of double team superkicks and clubbing blows. Ouch.

3. Jerry Lawler v Terry Adonis

I really wanted this to go 3+ minutes, but we barely even get a minute. Adonis has a real dirtbag look, and Lawler punches him a bunch in the face (as if he could sense that Adonis was sexually evil, and his instincts kicked in to protect children in the crowd).

4. Bill Dundee/Brickhouse Brown v Robert Fuller/Jimmy Golden

This was a short Worldwide version of an arena match, just about 5 minutes, but a real fun 5 minutes. Real fast pace as they tried to cram a bunch in, with some fun misdirection spots from the Studs (hitting each other with elbowdrops when Dundee moves, the arm breaker over the shoulder), Brickhouse throws some high dropkicks, and Dundee looks as great as Dundee always looks.

5. The Rock & Roll Express/Jeff Jarrett/Ricky Rice/John Paul v Badd Company/Cactus Jack/The Rock & Roll RPMs

This was a real Pat Tanaka show here. He was in for the bulk of the match and was just on fire. He moved lightning fast the whole time, almost doing the old Fit Finlay "I challenge you to fuck this leapfrog spot up, so I can punch your throat". He really pushes Jarrett here, and Jarrett looks great because of it. Tanaka throws some great punches and really snaps HARD to bump for everybody. It goes about 11 or 12 minutes, and it's all action (as a 10 man tag really should be) and is just all fun. NOMINATE!

Col Debeers v. Alan Reynolds

Debeers intro with the girls carrying the stretcher over their head while Page introduces him to huge fanfare was awesome. He punches Reynolds face in, stomps the shit out of him, kills him with a cattle branding and then murders him with a face first piledriver. This was great.

Samoan Swat Team v. Shawn Baxter/Ray Odyssey

Man Baxter was fun at the beginning with his ridiculous hair, getting just jumped like a joke on his crossbody attempt. Odyssey comes in and gets kicked in the face and does this sell job where his knees start to drop and it looks like he's going to shit himself. Samu hit a nice gutwrench suplex and then they proceeded to just beat his ass. Man the face bump he takes is sick and they are just killing him with strikes. Baxter trying to work the crowd from the hot tag is just comical. Why would anyone want to come in to take this asskicking? Odyssey gets stiffed on a back drop suplex. SST hit there awesome double team finish. God this was fun as fuck. SST ruled.

Jerry Lawler v. Terry Adonis

Total squash but hey we got to watch Lawler throw great punches.

Studd Stable v. Brickhouse Brown/Bill Dundee

God Fuller hits a back elbow to Brown and really pummels him but Brickhouse comes back dancing his ass off and hitting some sweet dropkicks while the heels scramble. Golden and Fuller were both bumping/stooging/schticky kings in this. Double drop down spot with heels smacking into each other gets me every time. I love Studd Stable armwork as a rule and Dundee sold well for it here so that just made it better. The payoff to this was Fuller accidentally pumping Golden's arm over his shoulder after being fed by Dundee who had been victimized twice previously. One of my favorite Southern tag spots and it was at that point I knew I was nominating this match. Dundee ends up getting fucking stiffed with Kendo Stick shots on the floor by Sylvia but comes in and gets the hot tag after a crossbody hopespot. Dundee attacks Bruno on the floor and Brown hits a roll under spot off a rope running spot and then a crossbody for what looks to be the fall but Sylvia runs in and beats the piss out of Brown with the Kendo Stick for the dq. Post-match there is a wild brawl with everyone running in and all hell breaking loose. This is short but so epically Southern I would be a traitor to my culture if I didn't pass it through.

Bill Dundee promo.

The Rock & Roll Express/Jeff Jarrett/Ricky Rice/John Paul v Badd Company/Cactus Jack/The Rock & Roll RPMs

Foley's selling of the little things early and running right though a Gibson dropkick was really good stuff that got this off on the right foot. Man the heels are fun flying around in this. Tanaka takes an insane fucking bump off of a clothesline and then off of an enziguri. God damn Tanaka and Jarrett have a great rope running spot that ends with Tanaka running straight through an uppercut from Jarrett. Jesus Diamond comes in and takes a huge and entertaining asskicking too. Diamond and Tanaka almost kill each other on a heel misdirection spot that was great. Jean Paul ends up taking a knee to the back and then a huge back body drop going FIP. This is a pretty damn fun face in peril segment with Jean Paul playing a good victim, some good hope spots and the heels really looking good on offense. Paul heats a sweeping punch on Tanaka and then leaps free from one of the RPM's trying to cling to his trunks and tags in Gibson. Gibson misses a dropkick though and gets nailed with a huge flying forearm from Tanaka for a near fall with all hell breaking loose. Tanaka gets tripped off of a quick rope running spot and Gibson pins him as the brawl goes on on the floor. This was about as action packed as you can get. Pat Tanaka looked like a contender for top five in the World in this.
