1. Wahoo McDaniel v Hunter Thompson

This goes like 20 seconds and ends with a chop.

2. Badd Company v Randy Greenway/Scott Hudson

Man can Badd Co. stiff up some jobbers. Tanaka especially can just lay a beating into dudes. I felt bad for both of these guys.

3. Rocky Mountain Thunder v Mike Somani

OK, Somani is the 3rd jobber I have seen wearing those islander tights (baby blue with leaves and flowers on them). Did AWA just have a stash of jobber tights/singlets that they made people big out? Somani looked like a real creeper, like a guy who takes all of his shits at the public library. And at this point they've clearly told Thunder to stop injuring people so now he doesn't attempt any dangerous moves and is worthless because of it.

4. Curt Hennig v Greg Robertson

This was a GREAT jobber squash. Hennig beat the shit out of this guy, throwing real nice short jabs that I never see him do, and at one point clotheslining Robertson IN THE FACE. A real Finlay moment. Possible EXTRA because of that.

5. Ricky Rice/John Paul v Soldat Ustinov/Teijho Khan

This gets time and really isn't BAD, but it's not great either. It had its moments and it was fine tag action, but not really worth going out of your way to see or anything.

I suspect Curt was just a little low with "The Ax Attack" that him and Larry used. That move was designed to be a clothseline-forarm to the top of the head, as opposed to the neck. Mis-timed, it's a smash in the face.

Jay Strongbow Jr. comes out to give Wahoo a new headress

Wahoo McDaniel v. Hunter Thompson

1 minute squash with Wahoo kicking this kids ass

Hurricane Scott Hudson/Randy TNT Greenway v. Badd Company

These guys had nicknames, but didn't get much offense

Chavo and Mando promo

Mike Somani v. Rocky Mountain Thunder

No widows peak here, just a squash

Curt Hennig v. Red Robinson

Another squash

John Paul/Ricky Rice v. Tejio Khan/Soldat Ustinov

I actually really liked large parts of this match, Tejio has some really nasty offense, and Paul and Rice are perfectally acceptable poor mans Rich brothers. Finish was weak with Khan and Ustinov getting DQ from throwing Rice over the top. With a better finish this makes a set, didn't have that finish

Wahoo McDaniel v. Hunter Thompson

Billy Jack Strong presents Wahoo with a new headress pre-match and he steamrolls Hunter

Wahoo promo

Kelly/Kiniski pre-tape

Badd Company v. Scott Hudson/Randy Greenway

Greenway has a headlock and not much else. When BC takes over this gets pretty fun. Tanaka is a stiff and intense motherfucker. I seriously think at this point he was a great wrestler, just not in a position to ever really show us how great.

Guerrero's promo.

Rocky Mountain Thunder v. Mike Somani

RMT is always good for a chuckle at least.

Soldad/Khan pre-tape

Curt Hennig v. Greg Robertson

Hennig was so fucking awesome here. God he fucking kills Robertson with the Axe and take some fun bodyslam spots and just looks great period.

John Paul/Ricky Rice v. Tejio Khan/Soldat Ustinov

Man the facial expression on Khan's face after Paul does the leapfrog is great. "He Vanished!" Khan is really awkward but in a good way as he comes across as totally aloof and his ring movements mirror that in a believable way. Soldad is far less interesting as a rule, but the test of strength/foot stomp spot was pretty fun. Khan's leaping clothesline and celebratory posturing afterwards ruled. Rice's FIP was actually pretty good. I thought the heels did some cool shit, Rice sold well and the crowd was into it. The bearhug spots were a bit tedious but I've seen far worse. Hot tag is well done but man was this finish flat. If this even had a DECENT finish like the DQ actually being done in a way that made sense, I would have nominated it.
