1. Nick Kiniski v Jim Evans

Slow, plodding squash match. Lots of bodyslams, lots of choking, nice back elbow, ended with a piledriver. Went over 5 minutes for some reason. Evans got zero offense.

2. Curt Hennig/Scott Hall v Bill & Scott Irwin – AWA tag title WrestleRock from the Metrodome 4/20/86.

This match is shown as a tribute to the late Scott Irwin. Scott Irwin didn't seem to be very good.

3. Curt Hennig v DJ Peterson – AWA title.

Same match shown on 7/7 episode, this time JIP.

4. Wahoo McDaniel v Boris Zukhov

Chain match that is short and bloody. Boris seems like he is holding up on his chain whips, which is foolish because it doesn't seem like Wahoo holds up on him. Wahoo really whips that change into Boris' back and shoulders. Wahoo is bleeding within the first minute or so, and Boris follows a couple minutes later. Great spot on the floor when Wahoo pulls Boris HARD into the post and Zukhov bumps really big into it (although the camera kinda misses it). I didn't really understand the finish, as Wahoo touches 3 corners, then Boris kicks him into the 4th, and the bell rings but DeRusha is waving it off and then people run in. I don't get it. I liked how Boris was trying to hang onto the ropes as Wahoo was dragging him around. Short and sweet, fun match with blood. LOW END NOMINATION.

Nick Kiniski v Jim Evans

This was okay. They are trying to get over Nick as a tough bastard here.

Tommy Rich promo. Good shit.

The Longriders v. Hennig/Hall from Wrestlerock 86

Crazy Battle Royal clips with music playing over it. No clue what the fuck is going on with this.

Montage of guys putting over the coming battle royal. EXTRA

Curt Hennig v. DJ Peterson

This is JIP here and Eric says it is in full elsewhere. Still I watched it and enjoyed it. Hennig is really nasty and deliberate with his shots really throwing some mean heel as fuck blows. And Peterson knows how to take them and sell them to his credit. Curt's stalking around and mannerisms were really incredible in this. Peterson makes his comeback after Curt gets bumped off the top and hits a nice belly to belly and follows up with a really great spinning back elbow for near falls. Hennig ends up doing another great "hold the ropes to avoid a dropkick" spot and then Peterson accidentally clotheslines the ref. Hennig rips a chair out of the hands of a fan and slams Peterson on it, though Peterson doesn't really take the impact well. Wahoo hits the ring and lights up Hennig before checking on DJ as the match gets tossed out. There is about 7 minutes shown here and looks to start basically at the beginning. Eric didn't nominate it for whatever reason but I think this is definitely strong enough to pass through.

Boris Zhukov/Soldad Ustinov promo.

Wahoo McDaniel v. Wahoo McDaniel (Chain Match)

I actually liked how appalled Verne was by the concept of this match on commentary. Kinda added to it I thought. Crowd was super into Wahoo and as soon as he starts bleeding and gets choked the crowd explodes into a Wahoo chant. Some of the whip shots with the chain looked super nasty. Zhukov's blade off the posting was pretty obvious but who gives a shit, this is double blood here. Wahoo took a cool bump for Zhukov down the stretch even if it was sort of exaggerated looking and Wahoo followed it up with a cool tug spot. The Wahoo walk to the four corners with Zhukov's hands tied up was really well done. I don't see this as a sure thing for the set, but it's something that is rightfully in the discussion. Damn is Zhukov going to benefit from his opposition. That fuck might show up on the set at least a half dozen times.
