Posted June 2, 201114 yr comment_5472304 Louie Spicolli v. Chris Candido This was REALLY chinlock heavy thanks to Candido in spots but the best parts were fun. Spicolli's rana was great. In fact all of his athletic stuff looked good though the idea that someone his size was competing for the junior title amuses me. Loved Candido's time out in the corner spot followed by cheap kick to the gut. Also thought Candido's top rope rana looked great. Spicolli was game and the structure was good but there was not enough meat here to justify a nomination. Dennis Carrolluzo (sp?) promo. This is amusing as fuck and hard to do justice. Mafia gimmickery and lols. EXTRA Jim Cornette promo. He introduces a great Terry Funk pre-tape with Dory leering around in the background looking like an extra from Back To The Future III. Pretty entertaining stuff shitty on Knoxville proper. EXTRA Bullet promo talking about his upcoming Texas Death Match with Funk. RnR's/DWB local promos Clips of Moondogs/Bruise Brothers feud. Furnas brothers promo Down and Dirty with Dutch Interview Segement with Bodies/Cornette. Corny says Morton will be banned from SMW if Morton attacks him. RnR's try and hit the ring but get held back. Rock N Roll Express steamroll jobbers Rock N Roll Express promo. Brian Lee/Tammy Fytch promo. Dirty White Boy v. Killer Kyle This was a really fun simple and effective match that I would have nominated with a better finish. DWB's selling was great for Kyles shots. Good structure. I liked DWB"s legwork throughout and the consistency of it for his hope spots. Finishing angle with Lee running in was hot but it killed the match in its tracks. Tracy Smothers/DWB promo. Moondogs hit the rings and destroy jobbers yet again. Bruise Brothers promo. Terry Funk pre-tape with Dory again. Different than the original. Bullet Promo Fytch/Corny local promos Bobby Blaze v. Brian Keyes Fun squash. Blaze's flip kick ruled. Tracy Smothers gets water tossed on him by Candido Down and Dirty With Dutch Interview Segment. Ron Wright pre-tape leads this off and is really fun and awesome. Dutch interviews DWB briefly. Chris Candido v. Robbie Eagle This was fun. Candido unloads his whole offense on Eagle including a crazy dive. Smothers come out and helps Eagle win and he wins the Beat the Champ belt! Post-match Smothers and Candido brawl. EXTRA Brian Lee/Tammy Fytch music video Brian Lee/Tammy Fytch promo. Tammy is in all her ranting glory here bitching about the upcoming chain match. Furnas Brothers promo. Corny/Bodies promo. Heavenly Bodies v. Rock N Roll Express I'm going to nominate this despite the fact that the finish of the disc is fucked per usual because I really loved Morton and the Bodies in this. The Bodies cut off Morton with the clothesline on the floor and they really lay shit in from there on and it was super compelling. They fucking KILL HIM with a spike DDT at one point that was totally awesome. I usually give up on these discs as soon as they start skipping around but this was compelling enough where I tried to fight through to catch the finish that I ultimately missed out on.
