Robbie Eagle v. The Hornet Really poorly executed stuff with Candido and Smothers at the end which is really what this was all about. Not good. Local promo with Brian Lee/Tammy Fytch Thrillseekers music video. Holy fuck this is awesome and absurd and is a guarantee for the set. Just bizarre shit with Storm and Jericho feeding live animals, playing shit at the arcade, and riding around at a roller skating rink among other things. Words cannot do this justice. Heavenly Bodies/Killer Kyle v. Rock N Roll Express/Bobby Blaze Lot of rope running! Seriously there must have been twenty rope running spots in this. Blaze went FIP which was a good choice as he can take a real ass beating. The bump he took off of Kyle's clothesline was unnatural looking but not in a bad way and I really dug Kyles vertical suplex. Del Ray hit a fucking hanging Razor's Edge in this that really folded up Blaze like an accordian. All hell breaks loose and Kyle took a double dropkick for the pin but post-match the heels destroy the babyfaces and we get some pretty sick shots of Morton's blade job up close. The end of this pretty much has to be an extra, but i'll nominate this as this is a set that is going to be a bit thin on lock matches and this was a fun tv bout. Chris Candido v. Pat Rose I always loved Pat Rose as he was a fat, non-descript looking jobber that always busted his ass. He and Candido really light each other up in the early going of this with some stiff shots and even the follow up spots were sloppiesh I thought they were cool too. Rose avoids one leg drop off the second rope but ends up dropping the fall to a top rope splash. Fun squash. Candido promo talking up his ladder match and series with Smothers. Clips of last weeks beatdown on the RnR Bob Armstrong announces the loser of the RnR v. Bodies match has to leave SMW. Bodies/Corny promo freaking out over Armstrong's announcement. DWB local promo. Well Dunn v. Larry Santo/Robbie Eagle Some slick stuff in this including a flip over a back body drop attempt and some solid bumps. Van Horn on commentary calling Bob Armstrong a pederast was absurd. The Hornet Lee runs in after a bit. The end result is DWG knocking out Hornet with one punch! Thrillseekers pre-tape promo and training video. EXTRA Corny local promo Tracy Smothers v. Tom Pritchard FUCK. This was going pretty damn good when the disc crapped out. Some fun back and fourth mat exchanges before Pritchard really nailed a sick jumping knee to Smothers face as he came off the ropes. Cornette telling the camera man he hated him was awesome. I actually tried to stick with this as the disc fucked up as the heat section on Smothers was pretty good and they did some good near falls for Pritchard with Corny adding his usual interference to really get the crowd's blood boiling. Smothers is a really great sympathy face in this setting but the finish from this is totally lost due to the shittiness of the disc. The only thing I know through the fucked up skipping/fucked up frames is that Smothers appears to have pulled off the win after about 5:30 minute match. Someone else needs to watch this so I'm nominating it.
