Jake is great here mocking the one eyed White Boy early, throwing the cheapshots, et. Jake demonstrating to Curtis how he legally executed a takedown where he used the hair was a nice touch. DWB follows up with the same and Jake golf claps for him. Jake's staggered sell of a punch of a break is also really cool. Jake really is great in this as it is a slow paced match but stays interesting due to the little reactions Jake brings to everything that happens in the ring. DWB took a really good bump off of a shoulder tackle and spills to the floor where Kendo runs out of the crowd and rips the patch off of Anthony's eye. Jack is awesome here sauntering around, punching Anthony's eye, ripping off tape and poking it into his eye, et. DWB hits a sunset flip and Jake's reaction upon kicking out is the best. Roberts has DWB on the floor and rakes his eyes right in the face of a bunch of old ladies sitting ring side. He comes back into the ring and takes some huge shots from DWB which he bumps really well for. Jake ends up beating up a camera man and shooting the flash off in DWB's damaged eye and then hits the DDT to win the title. Just a great performance from Jake.

Their was some great bullshit wrestling that Lawler would be proud of. Jake was so good. I wish the crowd was miked better. You'd think the crowd would go ape shit for this stuff. This was super slow paced but that got all the little stuff that Jake did resonate so much. It's kinda weird not seeing Jake work a match w/o teasing the DDT. I thought Thatcher and Caudle did a good job getting over the story of the match. I feel this should go on.

God damn Jake was so awesome here at being Jake Roberts the ring psychologist as he put on a clinic in how to get the most out of doing a whole lot of nothing physical. The story of the match was great as Jake played mind games with DWB earlier to get him to put the title up after wrestling a squash at the start. Very slow and methodical pace here which is all Jake who keeps you reeled in to everything with his movements. Kendo would show up and ripped off the eyepatch which brought out babyfaces to run him off with Jake now working the eye like a motherfucker in his own methodical way. DWB would finally make a comeback which Jake was awesome in selling for until he steals a camera from a guy at ringside then flashes DWB in the face setting up the DDT for the win. This was a master class by Jake and a easy nomination.
