Posted June 7, 201114 yr comment_5472712 Tracy Smothers v. Ben Logan Decent squash. Starlight Foundation segment Lance Storm v. Chris Hamrick This kinda ruled. I mean it was too short but this was just two guys going out there and tossing out flashy shit. Storm's kip up looked awesome and his finishing jackhammer ruled. Hamrick was great in this too. Chris Candido/Fytch/Bradley promo. Bradley is barking around while Candido beats him and Fytch rants. DWB promo. He says he wont let a yankee and a mama's boy take his belt. Bedlam destroys another jobber. Jim Cornette pre-tape. Corny outlines the toughness of Bedlam. Clips outlining the RnR's/Gangstas storyline that was beginning. The Gangstas v. Rock N Roll Express New Jack is really great in this. He does the whole "assume the position" bit pre-match, jaws with the ref, stalls and complains about the fans chanting Rock and Roll, does the old full nelson bit where he gets his legs on the ropes and demands a break so Robert drops him on his head, then goes into a pretty good rope running exchange and takes an arm drag before running over and bitching about Robert grabbing his pants. Then he screams about how he wants the "white boy" Ricky in the ring with him. Seriously this is all simple stuff but it is awesome and Robert comes across as fired up working with him. He tags in Ricky who sort of gives him a look of contempt and then tags him in the face with a real "fuck you" punch which Thatcher rightly notes was an attempt to embarrass New Jack. Gangstas take over off of a cheap shot from Mustapha on Ricky. Gangstas offense is limited but Morton sells well and I did like Mustapha's top rope Vader Bomb. Hot tag was not outstanding because Mustapha was out of position, but it was hardly a flub. Cool dropkick into sunset flip finish for the RnR's. Good match though it did suffer a bit from peaking early. Still probably a top 3 all time Gangstas match if nothing else. Post-match the "possee" of the Gangstas hits the ring and beats down the RnR's with nightsticks. Gangstas promo. New Jack notes that he made right on his promise that the Gangstas can outfight anyone. "we da wrong niggers to mess with" as Bob Caudle looks on in horror. Chris Candido v. Steve Skyfire Awesome spot with Skyfire getting caught on a backwards monkey flip attempt and dropped with an electric chair. Candido wins with a superplex. Candido/Fytch/Bradley promo. Lance Storm v. Boo Bradley Bradley took a really nice bump off of a missed crossbody and ends up taking over on the floor with some standard heel stuff. Bradley hit some nice shots and his spinkick over the top spot was hit clean here and looked good. Bradley misses a flying legdrop and Storm follows up hitting a dropkick for a near fall. Hilariously shitty botched reverse splash and then Candido runs in. Well this was not bad until the finish. Jericho getting destroyed by the heels post match was cool. RnR's local promo. Lance Storm promo. Awful. The Gangstas v. Anthony Michaels/Doug Golden The least of their squashes up to this point. Clips of Gangstas/RnR's beatdown from last week. Gangstas promo. "I was brought up if you couldn't earn it, go and take it." EXTRA Corny/Bedlam/Kyle promo. Bruiser Bedlam/Killer Kyle v. Tracy Smothers/Dirty White Boy Armstrong gets taken out pre-match and Tracy tries to go it alone but DWB shows up and replaces Bob on the apron. Cool moment as Tracy reaches his hands out while up in a side slam position to try and tag in DWB. Tracy is a good FIP in this selling well and taking the pretty low key offense from the heels in such a fashion that it looked more effective than it otherwise would. Smothers hot tag was good and the finish with Anthony geting screwed was well done but this falls short. Smothers/Armstrong/DWB promo.
