Tracy Smothers promo DWB/Ron Wright promo after footage from last weeks showdown with Corny/Bedlam. Wright cuts another fun promo. Bryant Anderson v. The Nightmare Anderson wins a competitive squash. Pretty decent. Armstrongs interview. Gangstas promo on their Ghetto Street Fight with RnR's. Corny is there and asks to manage the Gangstas since they have come closer to taking the RnR's than anyone he has ever managed. Jim Ross is great expressing outrage about Corny extolling the virtues of cheating behind the refs back instead of cracking people with a blackjack in plain sight. New Jack's response is great saying he doesn't need a white boy telling him what to do. Give a history of slavery says the Gangstas are black owned and black operated. Awesome EXTRA Boo Bradley v. George South Fun squash. Candido/Fytch/Bradley promo. Candido beats on Bradley while Tammy talks about how Cactus Jack tried to kick his cat boots. Cactus Jack promo. Pretty good promo from Jack The Gangstas v. Brian Lee/Lance Storm Curtis finding a chain on New Jack turning pre-match pat down was great. This was a fun match. The Gangstas isolate Storm and cut off the ring on him. I was impressed with Mustapha's suplex and Lance took a pretty nutty bump over the top to the floor at one point. Really Mustapha was actively good in this match which was shocking as he handled the bulk of the control segment and had some solid offense in general. He also got in place great for the back thrust kick that led to the hot tag to Lee. Candido shows up and whacks Lee with a trash can amidst the chaos and Gangstas steal the win. After the match Candido slides under the ring and Cactus shows up and the show ends with bizarre brawl. Cactus cuts a short promo as the show goes off the air. Bob Armstrong promo with DWB and Ron Wright. Bob announces that some California agent is trying to bring in someone to challenge DWB who says he'll wrestle anyone. Gangstas/Corny clip from last week shown. Sitdown interview with Corny and the RnR's. This is great stuff as Corny runs down why he has to manage the RnR's if they want any chance at all to take the titles back from the Gangstas. Corny runs down all the evil, deceitful shit he's done and says that is exactly why they have to work with him for the time being. Ricky and Robert are literally laughing and scoffing at all of this. Ricky's response is awesome. The RnR's take the offer but Ricky says they will literally murder Corny if he turns on them. Great stuff. EXTRA Steve Armstrong v. D-lo Brown This had it's moments. STeve showed good fire and D-Lo's cocky shit talking was fun. D-Lo hit a decent spinebuster and I really liked Armstrong's octopus variation. Armstrong was about to win with a diving lariat when the Gangstas hit the ring. Scott made the save. Lee/Cactus Jack promo. This was Cactus poem to Candido. EXTRA Candido/Fytch backstage promo Exhibition segment with Bryant Anderson and Tracy Smothers challenging a pair of jobbers in submission matches. Bryant wins quick. Tracy actually locks on a slick figure-four but Anderson drops an elbow on him and attacks him locking Tracy in an armbar. EXTRA Gangstas promo "Cornette is drunk and out his mind if he thinks he's gonna come to me with a proposition." D-Lo is holding the X banner in the background which is a nice touch. EXTRA Cactus Jack v. Chris Candido Holy shit Cactus took the Cactus clothesline in the most awesome way possible and they follow that up with a crotching on the security railing. Back in the ring Candido goes for a drop down and Jack drops a sick leg drop to the back of his head. Candido tosses Jack to the floor and hits a nice baseball slide and then a nice leaping plancha over the top. Candido grabs a crutch from a fan and decks Cactus with which was an unexpected and awesome spot for the time period. Cactus comes back with some sick forearms in the corner but Candido gets down on the Cactus corner charge and Jack hits the steel. Candido wisely goes straight to the arm with a fujiwara armbar. Candido roles Cactus into a nice pinning combo. Jack comes back with a spinning neckbreaker and goes to the second rope but Tammy grabs his leg before he can come off and Candido hits a top rope rana which Ross goes apeshit for. Candido misses a diving headbutt as a follow up and Cactus starts to make his full fledged comeback. He gives him a couple of guillotine shots on the ropes and then suplexes Candido on the floor. Tammy comes back out with Boo who gets on the apron but he collides heads with Candido who is hitting the ropes and Jack hits the double arm for the finish. Post-match Tammy sprays Jack's eyes and Tammy threatens to kill Boots the cat to get Boo to dive off onto Jack but Lee makes the save. Really a pretty awesome match and segment.
