clips from last week with RnR's v. Snow/Unabomb

Rock N Roll Express v. Al Snow/Unabomb (Coal Miner's Glove)

This is clipped and it's a real shame because you get the feeling if this existed in full it would be a stone cold lock for the set. Snow is really great in this early as he works a bunch of evasion spots during the face shine that all seem to end with him eating something worse than he would have taken in the first place. His ring positioning is great in this, especially on the spot where he bobs and weaves and ends up eating a straight right from Ricky and the spot where Ricky catches him with an atomic drop off of a press attempt and then Snow takes an escalating series of crotch bumps. They go to a spot where Snow accidentally hits Unabomb and they really tease that Unabomb is going turn on him. Crowd is fucking molten as Ricky goes FIP getting beat with a chair on the floor by Snow, who also hits a splash off the chair on the floor while Unabomb baits Robert and keeps the ref distracted. Ricky gets in his hope spot on the floor which is one of my favorite things in wrestling but gets cut off as soon as he tries to step foot in the ring. Heels hit a huge superplex/big splash/frogsplash combo and then rush to go up for the glove with Robert desperately making the save. Unabomb goes for a weird Guerrero Special type move and Ricky hits him in the nuts while hanging upside down. Gibson is great working the apron here and the crowd continues to go nuts. Cool spot with Ricky crawling over and just clinging to Unabomb's leg to stop him from going up the pole for the glove. Snow hits a cocky standing moonsault and goes for the glove but gibson punches him off the top. The Snow/Unabomb team really had good offense and Ricky knew how to take it. They slightly flub the hot tag spot with Ricky vaulted over Snow into a sloppy rana onto Unabomb but I honestly didn't hate it because they had built to it so well and it wasn't a total bust. Ricky and Unabomb get into a race on the pole and Morton climbs on Unabomb's head to get the glove. Snow gets punched with the glove but falls on Robert for the title change. I wish I knew how much of this match we had as it is really great from what is here. My suspicion is that we have at least half of the match, but who the fuck knows?

Al Snow/Unabomb promo. Good stuff as was the norm for Snow

Finishing angle of Gangstas v. Smothers/Taker/Armstrong match. Bullet has been taken out. They are trying to get Gangstas to salute the rebel flag per the stip. Taker ends up brawling to the back with Killer Kyle and the heels destroy Corny and Smothers with Corny's own racket. Bullet fights back to the ring. They cut him off and The Bullet gets spray painted with the X until Taker makes his way back and makes the save. EXTRA

Bullet/Corny/Smothers promo. Really good stuff. EXTRA

Finish of Landell v. Bobby Blaze title match from a house show. Curtis stops the match due to blood loss. EXTRA

Finish of Unabomb v. Ricky Morton coal miner's glove match from a house show. Great stuff as their is a ref bump, Snow shows up a piledrives Morton three times. robert tries to make the save and runs right into a huge plancha. Kessler is on the mic begging for a doctor to come out as Morton twitches on the canvas. Show ends with Ricky taken out on a stretcher. EXTRA

Bobby Fulton v. George South

This was strange. Fulton is brought in and has a really competitive match with South who has only been portrayed as a jobber on SMW tv. Some really good punches, some decent headscissors spots, and a nice roll up finish. Strange but pretty decent match.

Bobby Fulton promo setting up a match with Landell

Clips of the Bullet getting X'ed again.

Armstrong/Corny promo. Corny announces he has signed a match at the Volunteer Slam on his behalf. Corny announces he has signed a Texas Death Match against The Gangstas. Bob asks who Corny's mystery partner is but Corny says he needs a week to get it finalized. EXTRA

Smothers/DWB promo

The Thugz v. Larry Santo/Wolfman

Thugz debut.

Clips of Morton being injured again

Al Snow/Unabomb promo. Snow works a televangist gimmick and tells the fans to put their hand on the tv screen. Then he eulogizes Ricky and starts throwing things in a coffin they've brought to the set. The final thing is some lingerie as Snow reveals that Morton was a "closet transvestite." Robert tries to make the save but they beat him down with a chair and put him in the Coffin with Snow nailing it shut. EXTRA

Killer Kyle v. Mike Mason

Squash

Boo Bradley promo. He sets up a dog collar match with Kyle

Clips of the Buddy title win

Decent enough match that ends with Landell decking Bobby with the belt behind the refs back.
