Possibly the best Andre in the WWF match I've ever seen. If you are a "big offense" guy you are not going to like this and the ending slingshot spot is goofy but everything else is really heat filled. Basically Piper is afraid to work Andre, they finally isolate him long enough to get a cheapshot on him with brass knucks busting him open. Andre bleeds everyone and gets stretchered out. Snuka left alone fights valiantly looks like he's about to lose and Andre to the rescue. No blow away spots but a great atmosphere and fun stuff from Piper and Andre especially. Probably better than half the matches on the first set.
June 18, 201114 yr comment_5473664 Total blast of a match. All cool atmosphere and shtick. Andre doing the drop down and butt but was pretty impressive, but this was all about Piper being a cock and Andre bleeding. The bloody Andre rising from the dead spot was awesome. I have no idea what Andre and Snuka were trying to do at the end, but this was well worth a spot on the set.
May 21May 21 comment_6030233 Early on, Dr. D tries to figure out how to attack Andre without success. Piper was funny tagging in only to tag Schultz back in. When Andre shows the slightest weakness, then Piper attacks. Love it. After busting Andre open, the heels attack like hyenas. Andre is a mess and gets taken away by the medical staff. Snuka cleaning house really got the crowd into it until the handicap game caught up to him. Bloody bandaged Andre coming back to clean house was awesome!!!! Easy nomination
May 31May 31 comment_6030581 Andre making fun of Piper flexing before the bell is hilarious. Schultz & Piper getting duped by Andre at every turn is extremely entertaining. My mouth dropped when Andre did a dropdown. Awesome. Piper is such a great savvy, evil heel here. He finally gets an opening on Andre & busts him open with brass knucks. I love Piper smearing Andre's blood all over him. Andre's a bloody mess & sells it amazingly. The visual of Andre getting put on a stretcher & rolled out of the ring with Piper sitting on the turnbuckle covered in the big man's blood is tremendous. Snuka demands the match to continue after Andre is taken out & we have a brief handicap deal. The crowd pops for Snuka kicking ass for a bit until the heels overwhelm him. Andre rising from the grave & coming for the save is so awesome. He looks so badass & scary with the wrapped bandage over his bloody head & the loose ties on each end. I was hoping Andre & Snuka could pull off the slingshot double team they were going for before Piper & Schultz bailed. This featured amazing Andre & Piper performances. The transition from comedy to horror to valiant rescue is seamless & Andre/Piper are both central to the themes & feelings of the match changing. EASY NOMINATION
