This was a pretty heated promo. Budro says that although you've seen him in other organizations, the reason he didn't stay around is because he doesn't kiss ass and doesn't do promoters any favours. He's been told he can be himself in Smoky Mountain, he can pull eyeballs, slap hair lips and that this is where all the tough guys are. He's got a big ego and Smoky Mountain is where it's at.

By being himself, does Buddy mean that he can oversleep and miss TV tapings where he was scheduled to begin a program with the World champion? Sorry, couldn't resist.

 

Seriously, this is another promo like Corny's, a deliberate attempt to cast SMW in the role of the outlaw promotion, the one filled with guys that the Big Two can't or won't touch. Buddy's past makes him slightly less credible in this role than Corny, but you can definitely buy him as someone who's coming in to take names and kick ass. I loved the Dusty impression too, although the harelip stuff just before it threw me for a bit of a loop.
