A "Hollywood" Bob Holly sighting. Ron Wright has a valid manager's license but no one to manage yet, so until he does, Bob Armstrong has him BARRED from ringside. Ron Wright is in disbelief that Armstrong would mistreat a poor, crippled old man. There are some people that Wright can "feed that malarkey to," but not Bullet Bob. These two are great together. Still, it's pretty self-defeating that Commissioner Armstrong is easily the most effective babyface on the roster.

Skinny Bob Holly sighting! He benefits from some Ron Wright interference. Bob Armstrong is dressed like my grandpa. Ron Wright plays the helpless old man card, one which I've seen people use at my job before so it was nice seeing Bob Armstrong put him in his place. You know Wright will return with someone to manage.

Bob Armstrong is having a problem with Ron Wright and shows a bunch of clips from previous weeks showing Wright interfering in the matches. He says that he has a manager's license so there is nothing he can do, but he has no right to come down to the ring when neither man is under contract to him. He therefore bans Wright from ringside unless he has a contract with someone. Ron then comes out and says that he can't believe he's trying to mistreat a poor, crippled old man and that he's one of the most upstanding, gentleman wrestlers ever who's never harmed anyone! Armstrong grabs the mic and says he's not buying that garbage as he's been around him for over 20 years, has seen him maim and cripple guys and even has a scar on his head from him. He's standing by his decision that unless he gets a contract with someone he's barred from ringside and while we're at it, he's barred from this too. Wright tries to argue and protest the decision, but Armstrong just wheels him off the set whilst Wright continues to remonstrate.

Another hilarious interview section and everything involving Wright has been first class so far.

Tremendous stuff from a pair of old hands who knew what to do and how. I'll bet they had a laugh or two over this after the taping as well.

Bullet Bob may be the most effective authority figure I've ever seen in wrestling. He probably wrestled a little too much for his position, and his feud with Corny lasted way too long, but it wasn't either man's fault that that feud was literally the only thing SMW could count on to draw money that didn't involve a WWF star on loan for a one-shot. Bullet Bob was in a thankless position and he knew it, but he still brought the goods every week, whether on the mic and wearing the commissioner's tie or in the ring in trunks and boots. Add his advanced age to the equation and you may just have one of the top face runs of all time.

Ron was excellent as always. This was a nice setup for the eventual debut of the Dirty White Boy.
