They ain't in Madison Square Garden, they ain't in the Cow Palace, why? Cause they've got bad attitudes. This is Smoky Mountain Wrestling, you've got to be tough to work here, ain't no brown nosing and Buddy Landell doesn't know how to do politics, if he did, he'd be world champion.

Strange interview as Anthony seems pissed (drunk) whilst Landell appears to be high as a kite. Both are behaving completely different to how you'd expect if you'd watched everything involving them up to this point, Anthony especially comes off like another character altogether. Just strange!

I thought this was great. I loved watching these two just letting it all hang out for the camera to the point where Phil Rainey has to talk over them to wrap up the segment. Tony on Phil: "He's very rude!"

It was also nice to see Tony without Ron Wright. As much as I love Ron, having to serve his overbearing character kind of limits Tony, who's quite a good talker on his own.

Am I the only one who's lamenting the fact that we didn't get a long-term Landell/Anthony alliance out of this? Buddy's too self-centered to be put with Ron full time, but I could see these two as friends and occasional partners. For some reason, I'm not sold on the Anthony/Orndorff team they're trying to push now, as much as I like both guys.

There are good individual lines here, but this one's mostly about the overall atmosphere. It's one of the top ten promos of the half-year, and has to be seen to be believed (that's a compliment in this case).

This may be my favorite interview of 1992 to this point.  Haha, Landell is so awesome.  And yeah, they prob on some "chemical enhancement" - that was funny way to put it PeteF3, ha....

I should say the most fun interview, I know there's a "tear in my eye" out there post-rumble and definitely some other greats throughout the year...

This was all kinds of awesome.  I look at it as two guys who are hard to get along with (and therefore heels) except for the fact that their personalities just happen to line up with each other.  The way they did the characterization of Buddy as the womanizer and DWB as the headhunter in school worked really well for both characters.  Super fun stuff even if it didn't (awww) go anywhere.
