September 1, 201114 yr Author comment_5481559 Bret does a quick interview about taking on all comers, and tells Flair he has to beat The Man to be The Man again.
November 5, 201113 yr comment_5487613 It's a shame they really didn't have a true vision for Hart as champ. Still Flair is # 1 on the list.
October 13, 201212 yr comment_5517230 It seemed like Bret was during the mid 90's was always involved in multiple feuds at the same time. There was Michaels/Flair, Flair/Ramon, Owen/Diesel, Backlund/Diesel with Lawler on the side 93-95.
September 8, 201312 yr comment_5561267 The "fighting champion" gimmick was a unique way to push Bret, but at the time there was certainly a perceived star power drop-off from Flair/Savage to Bret/Shawn.
October 25, 201311 yr comment_5568833 Hart interview with matches coming up against Papa Shango and Flair. I like the idea of him taking on all comers, but this wasn't exactly a murderer's row of challengers. Imagine if Watts had done this with Simmons facing off against Rude, Vader, Jake, Windham and others instead of the Barbarian.
May 8, 20169 yr comment_5751863 Bret was very good here. He's not an elite talker like Flair is, but he's no slouch either. He's just different. I like the multiple feuds at once idea, which is a stark departure from the days of Hogan only feuding with one guy at a time so as not to confuse the poor little Hulksters. Maybe we're in for a slightly more mature WWF, though I'm not exactly holding my breath. I loved Bret using Flair's signature line back on him. Who else thinks that Flair didn't exactly care for that? I only had time for a quick look at Graham's site and couldn't find out, so maybe one of you will know: What's Joe the Interviewer's last name?

Flair used it back on Hart in promos around this time. One event center I just saw has Flair saying he always says "To be the man, you've got to beat the man and Bret beat me so I guess he's the man now. But can you beat me again!"
