Posted June 20, 201114 yr comment_5474513 Badd Company v. Nature's Beast We have this already. Rock N Roll Express v. Hangman/Terry Adonis RnR's were hot here offensively. Morton had a nice DDT, Robert looked good, the dropkicks were smooth. Quick squash. Michael Hayes v. Iceman Parsons The jawing with Hayes and Iceman early was fun and I enjoyed Parsons mannerisms after getting driven to the floor on the clothesline. Hayes strutting and moonwalking after every offensive exchange always brings a smile to my face. It really is amazing how effective a babyface Hayes is and after his brief peril section Iceman takes some really cool impactful bumps and hits a crossbody for what would have been a finish when the SST hit the ring. Steve Cox and Kerry of all people make the save. Not enough meat to nominate, but good stuff while it lasted. Steve Cox v. Terry Garvin Garvin's selling and schtick is always fun to watch and this is no exception. Cox decides to kill him with a release German early which was just nuts. Garvin makes a run with the girliest looking punches ever but really that's the point with him and Cox makes him pay for it with a nice powerslam. He wins with a russian legsweep. Fun squash. Sgt. Slaughter/Keith Eric v. Soldad Ustinov/Tenjo Khan Oh man Slaughter going to the back and picking Keith Eric of all people as a tag partner was great. Sarge is not going to stand for accusations by the Soviets of America being anti-egalitarian and goes and finds a proud African-American to defend us against the invaders. Just awesome. Anyway I dug Khan's early bump from a Sarge elbow and he hit a fun poke punch right to Eric's face. Eric was actually a pretty good ragdoll for the heels who brought some pretty darn good offense and were also effective at cutting off the ring. Eric ends up in a double clothesline spot with Khan which leads to the hot tag. Sarge comes in and locks on the Cobra Clutch but Debeers shows up at ringside and Sarge goes to chase him off getting counted out in the process. Another match I would have nominated with a better finish. Post-match it turns out Debeers had destroyed Eric at ringside off camera as well. Slaughter interviewed over the battered body of Eric. Debeers ends up showing up with a stretcher. He refuses to get into the ring but spits on Sarge. Boot Camp match challenge is issues. EXTRA Wahoo McDaniel v. Manny Fernandez Weird disc edit right before this match but I don't think we use much if anything. Man Manny's leg kicks looking really nasty. I dug the way Wahoo busted out of the hold and Manny's backfist and knee to the face were brutal. This turns into a really stiff strike exchange that spills to the floor and Manny takes a sick post bump. They brawl to the back while killing each other with shots. The meat of this was not as good as their other tv match and I don't think we need two Manny v. Wahoo tv matches so I can't see a strong case for this.
