Posted June 21, 201114 yr comment_5474740 Larry Zbyszko v. Kevin Collins Larry's act is really fun here. He marches around the ring pre-match with a Larry is The Champ sign from the crowd, screams at the ref, and makes all kind of absurd accusations. Larry wins with a small package of all things. Entertaining and strange. Curt Hennig promo on Greg Gagne. His glasses here are classic. They show a pair of finishes from previous shows we already have. Larry Nelson interviews a couple of amateur wrestlers who are blaming injuries and communist collusion for their losses. Soldad Ustinov/Boris Zhukov v. Wahoo McDaniel/DJ Peterson JIP. I assume this exists in full somewhere. They pick up with a pretty hot opening sequence and Boris is really stiff but when both the Russians are in the ring at once this is comically bad including a botched double sunset flip spot by Peterson that was just beyond belief awful. Things get really fun after they retreat to the floor though. The match resets with Wahoo and Boris stiffing each other and the Russians takeover on Wahoo, working on his arm. It's not a lengthy FIP but it was pretty well done and I liked the corner chain choke spot. Then just when the match was starting to recover they botch the finish as Boris misses his cue to break up the finish. Well this is almost worth watching. Madusa v. Peggy Lee Madusa really was a fun heel at this point Yes her bumping and selling was over the top, but it was over the top in a fun way and she was really on point here. Peggy Lee is fun here as well, spanking Madusa, hitting a nice jackknife cover, slamming Madusa's head into the mat in rapid fire fashion, et. At one point Peggy actually kicks Madusa in the vagina and Madusa sells it as such which might be the only time I've ever seen that. They brawl on the floor and I was starting to really like this when they went to a non-sensical finish involving Kevin Kelly. Oh well. Curt Hennig v. DJ Peterson This is the full version of the match that aired on 7/8.
