This is on disc one of Will's El Dandy set and I didn't see it nominated in here so I figured I'd throw it on the pile. I thought this had a shit load of really fun exchanges and fast paced shit. Down the stretch in the third fall there was some slightly botched stuff, but besides that everything looked super smooth. Really liked the ending run of the first fall, thought the diving headbutt was a great finish for the final fall too, and man that fucking no hands tope was epic as fuck as well. More "super fun" than "super great" but whatever.

El Dandy/Magico/Super Astro vs. Javier "El Monarca" Cruz/Gran Cochise/Americo Rocca (11/13/87)

 

Dandy with his shaved head, tights, kickpads combo looks like a US indy guy from 2002. The 1st fall was really fun here as guys were tearing it up on the mat while doing the ROH respect handshakes but the rudos brought intensity towards the end and took the fall. The 2nd fall was more of the same with everyone looking really smooth especially Dandy & Cruz with Dandy just dropping Cruz with a German Suplex to take the fall. 3rd fall saw more flying around and the guys taking more risks which led to some shakiness towards the end but these guys were putting it all out here. Magico nearly killed himself botching a cartwheel dive to the floor but it was forgivable as the rest of the match was really damn good. I dug this a lot and it's a fairly easy pick.

El Dandy, Magico y Superastro vs. Gran Cochise, Javier Cruz y Javier Rocca (EMLL 11/11/87)

- First fall was fun with all 6 guys shining. Super Astro does a flipping senton and misses and Dandy gets caught in a sweet victory roll giving the Javiers the first fall. So far, so good. 2nd fall, Cruz and Dandy do some really nice matork and arm drag sequences to start off. Damn, EL Dandy is so awesome. Still looks like Dynamite Kid when he has his head shaved. The 2nd fall was going great until the finish where I have no idea what the fuck happened. Was Rocca selling his ears getting boxed by Magico’s ankles? Magico is definitely the 6th best guy in the match as I am not digging his offense. Super Atro gives Cruz a NASTY sunset flip where cruz almost gets Sabu’d. Dandy is so the best guy in the match and so fucking fluid and gives the greatest tope fucking EVER. Then Magico fucks up his cartwheel . But Astro wins the match with a flying headbutt to Cochise. MAgico sucked but the rest of the guys ruled. Solid Nomination.
