I think we have this JIP elsewhere, but this is complete. I like the Longriders more than most and thought this was a pretty solid tag. Irwins are big enough where they don't look stupid working over the Roadies, though I'm not sure I can ever really buy Hawk or Animal as "in peril." Scott's pump kick looked awesome and I do have to give credit to Animal for selling as good as a monster of his kind possibly could have. The wild diving knee driving all four guys to the floor and leading to the schmozz finish was actually pretty cool. I have a hard time seeing this make it all the way through, but I see no harm in throwing it on the table for further discussion.

AWA World Tag Titles: The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) © vs. The Long Riders (Wild Bill & Scott "Hog" Irwin) (8/11/85)

This is a brawl from the start with both teams just clubberin on each other. Irwins were really good here at taking the Roadies offense as they were big dudes who could bump and sell well thus making the Roadies look even more like monsters. Hawk worked some FIP but Animal did the main FIP work and he was really good here and with the size of the Irwins them being on the Roadies looked credible. Hawk came in and was great working the house of fire style before the 4-way brawl and the eventual double countout. Crappy finish but this was really fun for a big-man match. I'll push it forward as a nomination.
