Martel always looks fiery as hell and has some of the best and most varied babyface offense of this period as he can always be expected him to mix in some stiff strikes, cool suplexes, solid matwork, and flash. Really liked his crossbody in this one as it looked appropriately out of the blue. Doo actually takes some really impressive bumps in this for a guy so sloppy. He throws a good punch and even though it didn't come off clean his monkey flip was neat. Martel won with his slingshot splash. Good fun. Wahoo McDaniel/Rick Martel promos. Jesse Ventura v. Mark Lan? Showcase for Jesse Bobby Heenan/Ventura/Patera promo. Might be notable as one of the few promos (only?) I've seen from this pairing. High Flyers promo. Mad Dog Vachon promo. Ventura is livid about the way the High Flyers won the previous match and is outraged that James Blears has been assigned ref for their rematch. Nick Bockwinkel v. Jake Milliman I really liked the opening grappling here and Bock having enough and decking Milliman on the ground was cool shit. Millmiman Hits a great deep powerslam on Bock to cut off his momentum and Bock gets up pissed and goes back to work on the ribs. He fucking tossed Milliman into the air and Jake takes a wild bump on his face, then opens up with body shots in the corner. Milliman does a hilarious dance on a comeback spot and then takes a fucking insane Psicosis/Negro Casas style bump on his head off of a corner charge before eating a piledriver for the fall. This was fun as fuck. Which it had gone a hair longer but both guys looked awesome in this. EXTRA Jerry Blackwell promo. Gene asked where the Sheik is and Blackwell gets pissed. Blackwell cuts a promo on Mad Dog Jerry Blackwell/Sheik Adnan Al Kaissie v. Buddy Lane/Brad Rheingans JIP. I may have seen this before. This is really hot in the studio and starts in the second fall. Lane is trying to get in a flurry but Blackwell just crushes him and refuses to pin him. Rheingans gets dumped over the top to the floor. The ref stops the match because of the punishment Lane is getting. Blackwell destroys the ref. Sheiks destroy everyone while Karbo freaks out until Greg makes the save. Blackwell is fucking awesome throughout all of this. Adnan blindsides Greg and Blackwell fucking crushes him on the floor with a powerslam and splash. Almost positive I've seen this before but fuck it. this is a definite EXTRA Brad Rheingans promo. Comical. Blackwell/Adnan promo. Hilarious shit with a belly dancer spliced into the background. This is hilarious as Goulet just gets shoved over by Mad Dog Vachon who shows up demanding for Verne to show up and agree to be his partner. Meanwhile Goulet sells the shove like he got hit by an Escalade. Mad Dog does a dance and then Verne comes out and says he's agreed to be his partner. EXTRA Sheik Adnan/Jerry Blackwell v. Spike Huber/Ray Stevens JIP at about 14 minutes with Stevens FIP. Blackwell fucking levels Huber knocking him to the floor. Huber is a sub for Patterson and gets the tag and comes in something fierce. Adnan and Blackwell really bump around like crazy to make Huber look credible. Adnan gets decked with a chair by Stevens on the floor. Blackwell's timber sell job for Huber's dropkicks ruled. Huber airballs on a splash off the second rope and Stevens ends up taking a pretty nutty bump leaving Huber alone. Huber gets fucking destroyed by Blackwell with a barrage of fat man offense for the fall. This was a shitload of fun. Wish we had it in full. EXTRA Blackwell/Adnan promo. Pretty sure this is Patera/Duncum vs. High Flyers. Ventura is in for Duncum as the Flyers "injured" him in that match, from St. Paul. It's notable because this is one of only two bouts between the teams. The match itself is from St. Paul, but the promos are for a bout in Denver as memory serves.
