Posted September 6, 201114 yr comment_5481891 Sgt. Slaughter v. Stan Hansen (Bunkhouse Match) God has answered my prayers as this is a match I was hoping existed in full and guess what it does. Hansen is wearing jeans and a long shirt and Sarge is in his traditional get up which gives this the look of a fight between a U.S. Marine and a guy who found out said U.S. Marine was fucking his wife. They go at it right from the bell and it has pretty much what you would want from these two. Really love Hansen reaching into his jeans to pull out a foreign object to deck Sarge wtih and then screaming in the refs face. Later Sarge deliberately stomps on Hansen's nuts which Stan sells exactly how you want a guy who has had his nuts stomped on to sell. Hansen goes for a running shot with the Cowbell but gets bumped the floor for a teased countout. They do a double knockdown spot after this and then they go to a bit with both goes struggling over Sarge's boot. Sarge decks Hansen with the boot and Hansen bumps over the top laying dead on the table for the countout loss. Aesthetically I enjoyed the effort, but it didn't have near enough time and the countout finish was bullshit. i'll pass it through but this feels more like an EXTRA Kamala v. Steve O Kamala squashes Steve O. Really quick and fun. Greg Gagne/Gerne Gagne/Jimmy Snuka v. Nord Barbarian/Boris Zhukov/Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissie There are like fifty rope runing spots at the beginning of this and they are all pretty impressive. I mean I don't really want to watch Zhukov and Greg in a rope running exchange but Zhukov was in good place for everything. Snuka coming in and hitting the double leapfrog spot and then Nord taking a ridiculous bump for Snuka chop was good shit too. Amazingly they come back in and go to another rope running spot that ends with Nord clotheslining Snuka. Greg ends up doing the more extended FIP later in the match which is probably the wisest option. Decent heat segment on Greg with Snuka getting the hot tag and running through the heels. Verne gets on the sleeper and then there is a weird finish with all hell breaking loose and Verne decking someone with a roll of coins or God knows what. This is probably Verne's last match on tape, so it should make the set in some form, but I think it's tough going to get this on as a top 100 or even 150. EXTRA Stan Hansen v. Candy Devine This was okay. Kind of wish it went longer. you get the feeling Sheri has some good matches in her but they aren't really there. Rest of this is World Pro NWA footage.
