Posted September 12, 201114 yr comment_5482626 JIP. The Blackwell/Gagne double dropkick spot was fucking awesome. Blackwell airballing the splash was a good bump too and then Studd comes in and beats the shit out of Greg. Studd isn't any good at all, but he did take a sunset flip hope spot pretty well. Really liked fat man abuse of Gagne. Simple stuff but Greg bumped good for it and the crowd was really into it. Blackwell's staggered selling was awesome and I love him falling backwards into Brunzell knocking him off the apron. Brunzell hot tag is good and he gets in his great dropkicks, plus an atomic drop on Studd that was almost shocking. Brunzell fucking powerslams Studd for a huge near fall and the building is rocking. Blackwell gets his knee attacked with the diving knee off the top from Greg and then does a great weeble wobble sell sequence that builds to a figure four spot with Blackwell being saved by Studd. They stay on top of Blackwell who eats three dropkicks before falling down for a near fall. Studd accidentally decks Blackwell and Brunzell dropkicks Studd to the ground allowing for the fall. I may have seen this already but I REALLY liked it here.
May 23, 201213 yr comment_5503559 High Flyers v. Big John Studd/Jerry Blackwell Solid Nomination - HOF John Studd - Nice armwork by the Flyers early to keep Blackwell grounded. I thought Studd would bring this down when he tagged in but he was surprisingly spry for such a giant. Since Gagne is so scrawny, even his bearhug looked absolutely brutal. Loved the hope spots, the double team backbreaker and Blackwell continuing to work on the back! If Gagne’s hope spots weren’t so good, I could see people shitting on the bearhug. Brunell’s hot tag was pretty great thanks to Studd and Blackwell more than willing to sell. Can’t seeHansen and Brody doing the same. I thought the miscommunication spot was lame but this match will be on the set.
