February 28, 200520 yr comment_936090 I'll make some comments later but, needless to say, I'd be glad to have all of the posters mentioned here at NMB.
February 28, 200520 yr Author comment_938411 Every post talking about people on the board is about you or Al anyway. I will not be the zookeeper that feeds your ego.
March 1, 200520 yr comment_943864 Bruiser Chong - sucks The Man in Blak - blows Loss - eats MARTYEWR - moron sek69 - dumbass The Metal Maniac - dick goodhelmet - Nancy boy TheShawshankRudotion - loser treble - hoser Crucifixio Jones - cracker There, flame away.
March 1, 200520 yr comment_944062 I dunno. Of all ten, Loss is the only one who doesn't scream "gay."
March 1, 200520 yr comment_945124 Well, I thought of switching my thoughts on Bruiser and Loss, but "sucks" may be more of a truthful statement when talking about Loss. Al - Beane-eater (ya see what I did there?)

"Gee, I got off easy." - Homer Simpson, after Ned Flanders' house falls down
March 1, 200520 yr Author comment_957317 Loss - eats ... and good food at that. Don't blame me because you're stuck doing Hungry Man dinner because yo ass can't cook.
March 1, 200520 yr Author comment_957337 Well, I thought of switching my thoughts on Bruiser and Loss, but "sucks" may be more of a truthful statement when talking about Loss. Al - Beane-eater (ya see what I did there?) You sure didn't have any complaints.
March 1, 200520 yr comment_960464 weren't you just bitching about how self-referential the TSM forums are?
March 1, 200520 yr Author comment_960775 Yes. If it happened with the infrequency there it does here, I'd never say anything about it.
March 1, 200520 yr comment_961231 I don't really think TSM is self-referential as much as there are a handful people running a constant MST3K-esque commentary over the entire board. But that's another discussion entirely.
March 1, 200520 yr comment_962208 I think this can be done without turning into flaming. So I guess I'll be the first one to show some balls and bang this shit out honestly.[li]Bruiser Chong - My fuckin' Mini-Me. My ward, my protege'. After Cerebus, before Flyboy there was Bruiser aka Daredevil21. No, but seriously, me and Alex Padrino have chopped it up about various things in the past and share similar philosophies on alot of things, especially where it concerns this whole messageboard thing we like to do. I've known alot of you a long time and Bruiser is one of those cats that I've seen grow up right before my eyes and turn into a knowledgeable and mature poster, a worthy and welcome addition to any messageboard and as a friend. He has less time for me than he used to because of the ladies, but that's the type of shunning I can live with. [/li][li]The Man in Blak - It must've been fate the way we ended up partners. He knows what I mean. For some reason, whether real or imagined we never seem to always see things eye-to-eye but when push comes to shove, I can honestly say I know where he stands concerning CJ and the same can be said here. A guy who also brings alot of content to the table who I wish had time to post more but is also suffering through the growing pains of marriage. [/li][li]Loss - Man, how long have I known Loss? The funny thing about me and Loss' relationship is that if you ask people other than us what it's like, they'd likely give you the opposite answer of what either me or Loss would tell you. Me and Loss are, in all actuality, somewhat close. We don't get to connect too often for whatever reasons, but when we get to talk, we TALK, it ain't just "Hey, how ya been?" gettin-to-know-you chit chat. But if you were to ask anyone else, they'd say we despise each other and have had some of the most vicious and personal flame wars ever recorded. Through all that flaming on boards, me and Loss would chat and laugh on AIM during those very same battles. It's always all good between me and Chuck. Don't believe the hype. [/li][li]MARTYEWR - This is a guy who every time I've seen him post at SNKT 1 or 2 or here, I've said to myself, "Why is he here? Why does he keep following us?" But I mean that in the absolute best way possible. For some reason, I always believed that MARTYEWR wasn't the SNKT-type and that he'd reside more on the "fun" side of the "content vs. fun" debates. Turns out I was wrong and I'm glad I was because he brings some invaluable wrestling knowledge to the fold and he seems like a fan of CJ and what me and MiB have tried to accomplish over the past couple of years. For that, MARTY gets a big thumbs up. [/li][li]sek69 - When I see the name Sek I immediately think "current events" and "politics" despite not reading one thing he's ever had to say about either. I just know that at other places, that's what he's known for, that's his forte'. I like Sek because he's one guy who at one time or another has known what it feels like to be in my shoes. I've seen Sek up and quit posting at places because people hated his guts for being so outspoken. So naturally, he became a favorite of mine and when I went shopping around for posters who had their own special areas of expertise, Sek was a guy I knew I had to have for my old "I Read the News Today" folder. Also a very decent guy to talk to about everything from wrestling to porno, Sek knows (and genuinely appreciates) it all. [/li][li]The Metal Maniac - Maybe this'll get me kicked in the rear, but I can't say I know too much about MM. I know that I've always seen his face at every board I've ever posted at since '99 prolly, but I'm seriously drawing a blank about anything else. Sorry. [/li][li]goodhelmet - I don't know what happened to me and Will. Will was one of those guys who used to be CJ's biggest fan. But now when he and I pop up in the same thread, it's like it's ON every time. One day the penis measuring and posturing will stop. We're alot alike and I think the words "back down" just aren't in our vocabularies. Will's the guy who sought me out to write DVD reviews for TSM back when I did that gig and I respect his wrestling knowledge and his appreciation of music. Always good to see his level-headed and informed thoughts in a thread. [/li][li]TheShawshankRudotion - TSM'er. Don't know much about him. I know he's posted at SNKT before, follows MMA and WWE still for some reason. Is just as opinionated as some of the most hated faces in the IWC but I can tolerate him. Usually backs up his trash talk with hard-to-argue-with facts. He's like the love child of Loss4Words and Chris Coey. [/li][li]treble - Rarely posts. Talks even less in chats. Moysey'll prolly never shake the moniker "PISSY TIMMY" because of me and believe me, I've had a lot of sleepless nights because of that. [/li][li]Crucifixio Jones - I'd do myself but I'd end up writing a book, so as not to bore you all, I'll leave me alone.[/li]
March 2, 200520 yr comment_969725 Bruiser Chong - Even though I hadn't told him that I was starting a new board, Alex came to me shortly after NMB opened and, not only volunteered to be an admin, but gladly accepted a moderator position when I said that's where we needed him more. He "earned" a reputation as a whiner for daring to critique administrative decisions, but he makes a better mod/admin-type guy than most. Cool guy. The Man in Blak - There are some who lead and some who follow, I guess. Doesn't really excel at starting interesting topics, but can almost always bring something into a thread. Occasionally argumentative, sometimes to a fault. Has a disturbing habit of using parentheses (I can't help it if I'm hopelessly digressive). How different things would have been if areacode had pimped him even further as a candidate for TSM modship back in the day. Loss - You know the best thing about Loss? Maybe it's a change that I just got around to noticing, but it seems to me like Loss has really lightened up in the last year or so. His wrestling expertise has been so constant over the years that it doesn't even require acknowledgement, but his thoughts on music and other things have been great to read. MARTYEWR - A genuinely cool guy. sek69 - I'm not quite sure I'm a fan of the politics, but he's still a good guy. Dude probably doesn't remember the balls-out flame war we had at WDI looooong ago over Jericho telling the internet off. You know, back when WDI was WDI. The Metal Maniac - Believe it or not, one of my favorite posters over the last couple of years. Brings a reasonable viewpoint more frequently than most people realize. goodhelmet - I'd really like to see him punch that unfuckwithable guy in the face once. Just ONCE. Otherwise, it's always nice to have a kindred spirit, in regards to the Beatles, even though we apparently have opposing views on "Across the Universe". (It's a great song, Will, but the original recordings don't really do it justice.) TheShawshankRudotion - Due to my gradual fallout from wrestling fandom, I haven't really seen much of Rudo but, from what I've seen, he can bring some intelligent viewpoints and that, in itself, makes him cool with me. treble - Probably the smartest guy out of all of us. Crucifixio Jones - I made a comment in a random TSM chat I got pulled into a couple nights ago that anybody that had been posting on these boards for over two years was either a gimmick poster or just boring. Some people took major offense to that, but look throughout this board or any of the other boards and tell me that you don't think "Yep, that's a CJ post" or "Wow, that's a Loss post." We all fill out our own personalities, our own characters here, but the problem with the internet is that certain subtleties of these personalities, certain contexts behind the things we say or do, don't quite make it onto the simple text that we read here. I'd like to say that CJ and I are very unique personalities and, because of that, we've had more than our fair share of misunderstandings. Sure, we don't see eye to eye on some things, but our different viewpoints have helped shape some great discussion and led to some great ideas. I don't know if we have any more egregious misunderstandings in our future, but I do know this: CJ is not boring.
March 2, 200520 yr comment_977091 I'll keep these short and simple. Bruiser Chong / The Man in Blak - For the longest time I confused these guys... seriously. Even when Bruiser was DD, I always confused them. Now, I know both of them and am quite fond of both. Loss - L4W is my partner in crime and my favorite poster on the entire internet. Together, we will acquire so much wrestling footage, my kids will be sleeping with pillows stuffed with wrestling DVDs. MARTYEWR - I remember Marty posting at SNKT but am drawing a blank before that. Marty did you post at WDI or TSM under another name? sek69 - Two things stand out about sek. The first is his political affiliation and he turned me on to some great anti-fascist web sites. The second would be his debate at WDI with Sass about Rhodes-Flair. I wish that thread still existed so I could see where I stood on that debate since I have learned so much more about the state of wrestling. The Metal Maniac - My brother in 80s heavy metal. He never posts but he'll pop up randomly to acknowledge my Suicidal Tendencies or Iron Maiden references or my S.O.D. avatar. Rock on... rock on... goodhelmet - A complete a$$hole. TheShawshankRudotion - I have a wierd vibe with Rudo. At TSM, when I would read his posts, I would agree with him most of the time. At SNKT, he was arguing something about wrestling and I thought it was the most absurd argument I had ever heard. Strange. treble - I think treble was the poster I sent tapes to when he won the Royal Rumble challenge at SNKT last year. I am still waiting for him to comment on the matches in any form on any forum. Messgae to treble= Do not get put on my "fat canadians that I despise" list!!! Review the matches dammit! Crucifixio Jones - "he loves me, he loves me not, he loves me..."
March 2, 200520 yr Author comment_977417 Bruiser Chong - Someone who, like others have pointed out, I've seen grow up in his time on the board and become a great poster. He thinks he was bad at one point, but I don't ever remember him being awful. I've told him this before, but the first post I remember from him was right after 9/11 when he commented on some of the stupid things his classmates were saying. I immediately added him to my buddy list after that. The Man in Blak - One of my favorites. Likes using the word "zen" in posts, I've noticed, although I don't think he has said it here. Capable of having a discussion in any forum, regardless of the subject matter, which I wish I could say about ... Loss - ... yeah. MARTYEWR - I need to talk to this guy more. I've always thought he was really cool and we seem to share a lot of the same views on politics, wrestling, music and life. Anyone who said all the good ones are gay LIED. sek69 - We disagree on a lot, but he rocks, and we've had some good conversations. Politically, I'm probably perfectly in tune with him. Someone I was glad to see come back after his self-imposed disappearance at WDI. The Metal Maniac - Always been around, but that's really all I know. Have we ever talked? goodhelmet - I echo his sentiments about me. My personal favorite poster in all the land who's probably more straight-up than anyone I've encountered online. We're building a dynasty, I'm tellin' ya. TheShawshankRudotion - A personal favorite, because he doesn't compromise his views for anyone and he's consistent in what he believes. Has probably the best sense of humor of anyone I've come across online. He'll make your head hurt if you argue with him, and in that sense, he's a man after my own heart. treble - Someone who has always posted pretty much everywhere I have, but I don't know that we've ever really interacted all that much. I always get you confused with Spaceman Spiff. Crucifixio Jones - A sentimental favorite, and someone who doesn't want you to know it, but who has a soft side and is a pretty compassionate guy. We have the ability to take the gloves fully off when we're fighting about something and still get along well, as he said, outside of the confines of the argument. I don't even know how many online memories that I have that are tied to CJ. They're countless.
March 2, 200520 yr comment_977627 Thanks for the kind words, guys. A couple responses: - CJ: I've actually been around since 2001 at the old Smarks boards. Believe it or not, I remember the date you registered there. I've been off and on at WDI, SNKT, TSM and places like that. Remember Extreme Warfare Revenge? Most people remember me for that. (Oh yeah, Total Extreme Warfare 2005 coming soon! ) - Will: I'm registered at WDI and TSM under the same name. Haven't been to WDI in a while now, much like others I like to converse regularly with. I'm at TSM regularly. - Loss: I'm on AIM under the same name. Thanks to the Canadian Government abolishing AIM, however, your only chance of contacting me is in the evening. I'll post my thoughts on the listed posters later.
March 2, 200520 yr comment_979169 Bruiser Chong: I don't know a hell of a lot about Bruiser. The closest thing I think we've had to any interaction was briefly discussing the NBA Dynasty Series DVD box sets at SNKT. Seems like a fine guy, though. The Man in Blak: Incredibly hard worker, fun guy, and back in the day, gave great feedback to me personally about EWR and what should be added in the most sincere ways. Haven't had much contact with the guy besides that, but have never had a problem with him either. Loss: The first time I remember actually interacting with Loss was way back in January 2002, when we plotted to prevent Hulk Hogan from ever returning to the WWF while on the old Smarks Board. If I recall correctly, Loss allowed me to handle the East Coast, and he'd focus on travelling to the West. We almost had our fleet set up but when the nWo signed, it was all too late. Anyways, this guy's knowledge of wrestling is incredible and both he and Hunter's Torn Quad are the biggest reasons why I keep talking wrestling or listening to people talk it, even during down periods. I learn new things from these guys, the latest being Orton's refusal to turn heel. Loss is also someone who is passionate, sometimes extremely passionate, about who he is and what his rights should be. Politically, I admit to being central, but a guy like Loss actually prevents me from going too far right, as, unlike people who are too far left whom I've experienced, is genuinely for earning his keep or presenting why he deserves what he deserves, rather than expecting it to fall from the sky. I apologize if that sounded like rambling. A genuinely awesome poster, and I can't say enough good things about the guy. MARTYEWR: *points to self* sek69: I've only spoken with Sek on WDI or other places off and on. I remember the days of Dave Dymond's Hideout. Each forum would be a room, and "The Dining Room" was where all the Political and Current Events discussions would take place. After seeing a picture of Sek at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, it gave me an image of The Hideout actually being a house, with Sek always at the dining room with a stackload of papers proving how wrong George W. Bush really is. Anyways, Sek's always come across to me as fine. I feel bad for the guy these days after losing the temporary position, since I was once in that position too. The Metal Maniac: Never spoken with him much. I remember all the Iron Maiden references. That's about it, but that's good in my book. goodhelmet: Never spoke with Will much, so therefore, I don't really have a problem with the guy. I think, from reading recent posts, that he and I have different tastes in a good wrestling product, but it's unfair for me to judge the guy. TheShawshankRudotion: Not sure of who he is. Would I happen to know this guy by another username someplace else? His comments in the RAW thread made me laugh the other day. treble: The only poster I've met from these parts, at a Smackdown house show in 2002. Haven't spoken with him much since, but really smart and knows his stuff, both with wrestling and baseball. Came across as really nice to me back then too. Crucifixio Jones: Two things come to mind with regards to CJ: 1. He's the guy whose sigs finally caused me to turn off all sigs and avys since I do most of my surfing at work now and 2. He's got the slickest Boston Celtics garb I've ever seen. C'est tout.
March 2, 200520 yr comment_979621 From Marty... I think, from reading recent posts, that he and I have different tastes in a good wrestling product, but it's unfair for me to judge the guy. Just curious Marty but what do you mean? What makes a good wrestling product in your eyes? If possible, make a post in the wrestling folder and I'd love to discuss it with you.

I'd forgotten about the plan myself, but yeah, we had this whole battle plan mapped out. I love being a geek sometimes. TheShawshankRudotion: Not sure of who he is. Would I happen to know this guy by another username someplace else? His comments in the RAW thread made me laugh the other day. Ravishing Rick Rudo.

Just curious Marty but what do you mean? What makes a good wrestling product in your eyes? If possible, make a post in the wrestling folder and I'd love to discuss it with you. I don't want to make too much of a discussion about it, but I'm referring to your tastes for just wrestling matches as opposed to an overall product (matches, interviews, angles). I remember you and Loss were discussing it several months ago at SNKT. Again, though, if I misinterpreted what you said, feel free to correct me.
March 2, 200520 yr Author comment_980325 I used to have that misinterpretation too, but GH is actually a huge fan of Foley's interviews and credits the NWO angle for getting him involved in wrestling again. But yeah, I used to think he wasn't interested in seeing any matches below ****1/2.
