Hi, my name is Dean Malenko. I am a second generation wrestler, I have no charisma and I love technical wrestling. I want to feud with Eddie Guerrero because we had "*****" matches in ECW ealier this year.

Eddie had the same interveiw segment later on the show and he basically said "Hi, my name is Eddie Guerrero. I am a second generation wrestler, I have no charisma and I love lucha libre. I want to feud with Dean Malenko because we had "*****" matches in ECW ealier this year. And they used the fake Pulp Fiction music Mike Sanders would get five years later !!

There are a few clips of the Malenkos' NWA tag title tournament matches in here as well. Just a few months ago this would have seemed woefully out of place, but now WCW is going all-out to bring in some rather exciting young talent (Dean's not that young, but work with me here), and making room to have the Pure Sports Build stuff stand alongside the cartoony stuff in the main event. That wall of separation would continue long past the point of necessity, but right now it's working.

  • GSR changed the title to [1995-09-30-WCW-Saturday Night] Up Close w/ Dean Malenko
