This thread had me thinking about Alex Wright for the first time in forever. The guy had tons of potential.

Wright is 36 years old. He's only two years older than John Cena. It's a shame he went back to Europe after WCW closed. Relatively speaking he'd still be in his wrestling prime.

I grew up in the 757, and Das Wunderkind hit the nail on the head. Norfolk really is a pigsty. Nobody tells Alex Wright what to do and when to do, least of all the morons in Norfolk.

Awesome post! Tokyo Magnum is really lucky that Alex Wright would sacrifice his time to help him improve his dancing skills. What an amazing, reckless display of disrespect. I don't know what he did, but I'm sure it was bad!

 

I loved Alex Wright when I was younger, I remember Wright and Sting being my favorite WCW wrestlers at this time.

 

When I do 3XW commentary on Mike Sydal's matches, who won the award in 2009, I always mention that Sydal won the award "also held by the likes of Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat and "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright!"
