Doll really bumped and sold for Avalanche’s power offense and threw some good-looking punches during his mid-match comebacks. I also liked Avalanche’s progressive selling of fatigue (he might not have been selling entirely.) Look at that, they did an actual match with control segments and well-timed comebacks, and the crowd actually gave a shit. They went to the time limit but didn’t piss me off nearly as much as usual. This might only be good in comparison to the stuff around it, but I’ll give it a low-level nomination. Portland 9/3/88-10/22/88 Disc 2
May 28, 20169 yr comment_5755007 I agree with everything that Childs said but I think it comes up short as a nomination. Avalanche had some solid offense and did take the huge bump to the guard rail but Doll was really vanilla. In fact, I think Avalanche worked better than Doll.
