JIP at about 7 minutes. This picks up with a neckbreaker from Billy and then goes into some other cool offense including his awesome backbreaker and a nice gutwrench suplex. Really cool momentum change with Martel throwing a back elbow and Robinson taking a huge bump over the top. Really liked the tit for tat exchanges that followed this up and Martel giving Robinson his own neckbreaker was a really cool moment. I also really liked the way they worked the headlock base with Robinson trying all these crazy escape tactics and Martel digging in deeper each time. The way they came out of the hold was nice as well and this was just a very well put together "battle of equals" type of match. Finish with Al Hayes pulling Martel's leg was a little telegraphed, but I still really liked this.

Billy Robinson vs. Rick Martel (3/24/83)

This was JIP a little too far for me I think as we missed the early Martel work by the way it looked. The action here was really solid though as both men worked this my turn your turn but with matwork and not high spots. The stretch run was fun as well as Martel had Robinson but Lord Alfred Hayes would grab his foot allowing Robinson to get the pin. If this was in full I would pass this forward but since it seemed a little too JIP for me this is a no.
