Posted January 23, 201213 yr comment_5492939 The Nomad v. Tommy Jammer Comical. They are trying to put over Jammer who really does a whole lot of nothing and then wins with a school boy. WTF? Ken Patera/Tom Zenk interview. Zenk introduces Patera as his partner to challenge Badd Company Red Tyler/Stoney Burke v. Mike Enos/Manny Fernandez Fucking Fernandez and Enos is like my dream team. Enos is wearing ripped jeans which seems especially amusing in the AWA. Fucking Manny just crushes dudes with dropkicks, headbutts, flash drop toeholds. God damn i want to see Manny v. Finlay right now. Enos takes note and they hit a sweet double back elbow which he follows up with a sick legdrop and leaping clotheslline. Enos crushes a jobber face for the finish. This was super fun. Badd Company promo. Velvit McIntyre v. Wendi Richter JIP and this is from a different studio from back in 83. Holy shit the commentary for this is unbelievable. What was shown here was actually a fairly good match. Good back and fourth building to the draw. If we had this in full I might even consider nominating this. Sgt. Slaughter v. Dave Taylor No it's not the Dave Taylor we all wish it was. This Dave Taylor has a flat top/rat tail combo and is wearing some weird cheetah print body suit. Sarge fucking destroys him in a pretty epic asskicking. Derrick Dukes/Ricky Rice promo challenging winners of Badd Company v. Zenk/Patera Badd Company v. Ken Patera/Tom Zenk Awesome opening to this as Patera plays brickwall and Tanaka takes a lunatic bump off of a Patera clothesline. Zenk/Diamond exchanges weren't anything great, but Tanaka comes right back in and takes another awesome bump. I am not a fan of bearhugs, but Patera applying them makes sense at least. They fuck up a flying bodypress spot at one point and the recovery for it was just..odd. Zenk throws some really mean dropkicks in this and man Tanaka takes a great post bump and back body drop. This match was too disjointed to nominate, but the finish with Zenk accidentially dropping Tanaka over the top after getting dropkicked in the back and getting DQ'ed was actually really clever. Greg Gagne v. Tom Burton Hey a cool monkey flip spot! This was okay Wahoo McDaniel v. Dave Taylor Nothing Brief interview with Apter and Larry Z Wayne Bloom v. Stoney Burke Wayne throws some pretty stiff spots in this one. Larry Zbyszko promo. Larry calls out Vince McMahon, Hulk Hogan, Steamboat, Flair and Ted Turner. Then says they have to get in line behind all the AWA guys. Pretty awesome Shane Douglas style delusional promo. EXTRA Nick Bockwinkel v. Brad Rheingans JIP. This is the mat classic. Starts with some really awesome fast matwork and armdrags from Rheingans. Seriously there are some excellent exchanges in this. Heenan is freaking out at ringside as Rheingans controls Bock with an armbar that actually looks pretty brutal. Too short to nominate. What's shown is really great, can't remember if I've seen or even nominated it, but it was really a shit ton of fun to watch. Badd Company v. Red Tyler/Tod Decker Fairly entertaining squash match. British Bulldogs v. Rock N Roll Express JIP. This is the infamous match from Central States that was taped for Japanese TV. I had no clue this aired on AWA TV though it is inarguably not an AWA match and is not eligible for this project. Brad Rheingans/Ken Patera promo talking about a Japanese event they are scheduled for Sgt. Slaughter v. Col. Debeers Debeers drop toehold was super slick. Debeers bumps really nicely for Sarge. This was sort of a rushed match, but you got a lot of the stuff you wanted, as Debeers took a big slingshot bump, Sarge sold well for the Debeers heeling, Sarge took his big corner bump, et. Sarge ends up getting bumped to the floor and the Col smashes his face on the ringside table. Ref calls for the bell and Sarge decks the Col with the bell. DDP hit s Sarge in the back with his cane. Match gets thrown out just as it was getting really good. Too bad.

If this is from the TV studio, I do believe it is available in full (It's only a ten minute tv match as I remember). They had another match from the Civic center that I think just shows the last few minutes.
