I liked Larry's stalling when it's done right. This was one of those times when it worked as you could especially buy him being frustrated going against the old vet Wahoo. Awesome spot as Wahoo blocked the Larry spin kick to the guts coming off the break in the ropes and chopped him to the floor for his trouble. Larry bumps int the ropes wildly and Wahoo follows him out and posts him. Wahoo opens up on Larry's leg and locks in a crazy half crab with a really strange torque to it. Larry sells the shit out of his leg from this point and ends up coming back with a nasty stiff forearm to Wahoo's face. This doesn't last long as Wahoo comes back and gets a near fall off a big chop. Lame finish as Wahoo gets bumped to the ground and Larry falls on top. Wahoo gets his foot on the rope, but Larry tosses it off before the ref sees it. I'll throw this on the dock as I enjoyed it, but the finish makes it hard to go to bat for.

AWA World Heavyweight Title: "Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko © vs. Wahoo McDaniel (3/25/89)

Larry tries to stall but Wahoo won't quit stalking him and forces him into physical contact then makes him pay for it with chops. Larry would take a great bump from the ring to the floor and Wahoo would follow him out then posted him before going back in the ring. Wahoo would then turn his attention to working over Larry's left leg with a half crab that looked like it hurt pretty bad. Larry though would work his way back up and caught Wahoo with a cheapshot to the chin to start his control section which lasts almost no time as Wahoo makes a comeback firing off chops for nearfalls. Larry would collide with Wahoo then fell on him for the pin although Wahoo had his foot on the rope Larry knocked it off. This started out really good but fell apart completely at the end. I really wanted to push this forward but I can't due to the stretch run.
