Posted January 26, 201213 yr comment_5493170 Akio Sato v. Greg Gagne This was a good basic match. Yeah they blow off some of the early leg work, but there were some cool spots mixed in and stiff blows. Greg actually worked really tight here. I thought the gutbuster Sato hit looked really brutal. I could live without the nerve hold base, but they at least came out of it in fairly interesting ways. I mean this went on way too long, but the structure was sound, the crowd was into it and I actually think for the way they chose to work this it was better than it probably should have been. Salt finish was kinda lame though. Akio Sato promo. Larry Nelson demanding English only was amusing. Col. Debeers v. Todd Becker Dukes shows up and distracts Debeers causing the Col to nearly lose. Debeers wins with the cattle branding and face first piledriver. Johnny V promo and teaser of "WHO" he will manage. Larry Z promo. Good Larry promo setting up his match with Wahoo. The Dazzler v. Ms. Kitty This was decent enough until they botched a back body drop badly. Dazzler wins with a crazy looking moonsault Verne Gagne promo introducing Scott Norton again. Scott has a black eye and Verne mentions it. Brad Rheingans/Ken Patera v. Tom Burton/Frank Nelson Man Rheingans monkey flip spot is always great. Nelson is a huge guy in a singlet with a red shirt on underneath and he demands Patera tag in. Funny as Patera actually dosey-do's out of a test of strength. Rheingans briefly goes FIP and eats an avalanche from the big man, but comes back and hits a belly to belly throw on The Tank which was impressive. Patera ends up "knocking" Nelson out with a full nelson. Fun match. Mat Classic Ivan Putski v. Ox Baker Larry Zbyszko v. Wahoo McDaniel I liked Larry's stalling when it's done right. This was one of those times when it worked as you could especially buy him being frustrated going against the old vet Wahoo. Awesome spot as Wahoo blocked the Larry spin kick to the guts coming off the break in the ropes and chopped him to the floor for his trouble. Larry bumps int the ropes wildly and Wahoo follows him out and posts him. Wahoo opens up on Larry's leg and locks in a crazy half crab with a really strange torque to it. Larry sells the shit out of his leg from this point and ends up coming back with a nasty stiff forearm to Wahoo's face. This doesn't last long as Wahoo comes back and gets a near fall off a big chop. Lame finish as Wahoo gets bumped to the ground and Larry falls on top. Wahoo gets his foot on the rope, but Larry tosses it off before the ref sees it. I'll throw this on the dock as I enjoyed it, but the finish makes it hard to go to bat for. Wahoo McDaniel promo vowing revenge on Larry. Mike George v. Todd Becker Becker did a nice floatover escape/dropkick combo. George hits some brutally stiff clotheslines and suplexes in this. This was actually pretty entertaining. Larry Zbyszko promo Destruction Crew v. Tarzan/Rocking Randy Very entertaining competitive squash. Enos and Bloom take some surprising bump and give a lot offense to the two jobbers. Randy takes a lunatic bump off of the devastation device. Really fun. EXTRA Badd Company promo. Pat Tanaka screams and says there is no dissension in Badd Company. Wendi Richter v. Shirley Black Same awful match as before. Larry Nelson interviews Harvey Mackay Mat Classic Nick Bockwinkel v. Wahoo McDaniel. JIP and only a few minutes shown. There is different than there other great match and what is shown is really awesome. Does this exist in full and somehow we have missed it in the footage?? Scott Norton intro promo again Wahoo McDaniel v. Frank Nelson Quick squash. Destruction Crew promo with Eric Bischoff. They our outside of a building demand a shot at the tag belts. This leads to a vignette of Wayne Bloom lifting weights in the gym. EXTRA Ken Patera promo scoffing at Wayne Bloom's feet. EXTRA Larry Zbyszko v. Thor Another really fun Larry squash. He really knew how to give a little and make the most out of it and then destroy these guys. Awesome piledriver.

There is the Wahoo-Nick match from Winnipeg, and one on the Raw Footage 1983 discs. If this isn't a pro shot version of the Raw Footage one, then more of this doesn't likely exist. I will go hunting and see what I can come up with.
