Paul Diamond Basic work out of a headlock early from Zenk, coming out for a nice quasi-sunset flip spot and reverse crossbody. I am not a fan of Zenk but this was well done stuff. Neat follow up spot as Diamond drops down to avoid another reverse crossbody but Zenk stops himself and hits a middle rope dropkick. At this point Diamond starts flipping out on DDP at ringside as they are still teasing their inevitable split. Diamond gets a couple of shots in control, but this is really all about the pending break up with him and Page and Zenk is just a guy to get in some nice spots in the build. Post-match Diamond confronts Page and gets attacked from behind by Tanaka. Tanaka beats the fuck out of the ref too. They spike Diamond with a DDT. Diamond starts to make his come back but Akio Sato hits the ring and the really destroy him now. Zenk makes the save. Backstage Page is interviewed along with Tanaka and Sato. Wahoo McDaniel/Scott Norton I liked the psych early in this with Wahoo working heel tactics on the Destruction Crew and almost guiding Norton on the fine points of how to game the system. Boot of the Destruction Crew can bump and stooge and that's basically what is asked of them for the first several minutes. Wahoo gets whipped into the ref knocking him out and Norton goes to revive him while the D Crew take their construction helmets and attack Wahoo and Norton viciously.
