Posted March 22, 201213 yr comment_5497698 Here's another heaping helping of Pirata Morgan beating the shit out of people. I really never tire of this. This isn't the greatest beating he's ever lain on a group of technicos, but it's a pretty hard thing to screw up. Hombre Bala provides ample support. He and Pirata bust out the awesome two-person proto-Go 2 Sleep on Ciclon Ramirez near the end of the first fall, and then Bala just flapjacks Ciclon clear out of the ring right afterwords. Ciclon eats a ton of punishment here and looks great doing so. Hurrican, meanwhile is probably the most offensively dynamic guy on his team, throwing some pretty armdrags and having Ciclon back body drop him over the top rope onto Emilio on the floor. He also eats a nasty somersault senton and a piledriver from Pirata down the stretch, because apparently, Pirata Morgan hates his guts. The main contribution of Mueneco and Emilio comes near the end when Mueneco has Pirata in a scorpion deathlock, and Emilio jumps in front of him and starts mocking his "lolling his head around" zany comedy bit, so Mueneco releases the hold and punches Emilio in the face. I'm not sure why Emilio thought that was a good idea, but I was amused nonetheless. Phil thought the finish was flat, but the finish was Pirata clearing Mueneco out of the ring so Bala could tap Ciclon was a scorpion deathlock variant while Emilio crushed Hurrican with a top rope splash, and then they all went outside and mercilessly kicked the shit out of Super Mueneco for a while, so I can't really hate on that. Solid nomination.
June 27, 201213 yr comment_5508331 Emilio Charles Jr./Hombre Bala/Pirata Morgan vs. Ciclon Ramirez/Huracan Ramirez/Super Muneco (3/10/89) The rudos are pretty damn fun here beating on the tecnicos here and the tecs take their whipping well. Pirata & Bala worked very well as a team and Emilio was so good he could work with anyone so they made everything look easy here. There is also some wild bumping here as Ciclon gets thrown over the top like a wet rag right on the floor which looked like it hurt. The rudos continued their dominance in the 2nd fall teaming up on the tecs before Huracan & Muneco have enough and they send the Bucaneros scurrying to the floor as Ciclon takes care of Emilio. Muneco is fun here making the rudos look like fools with his comedy routine and the fans love it. Ciclon goes with his athletic ability to take care of the rudos who are bumping like crazy here making him look good. Huracan gets his shots in as well and the rudos are putting on a show here with Emilio taking a huge somersault tope con hilo by Huracan and then Pirata missed his Michael Hayes diving elbow allowing Muneco to pin him. The 3rd fall had everyone on point here other than Ciclon almost breaking his neck trying to run the ropes on an armdrag. Emilio & Muneco were the stars here as they had some fun exchanges with some wild bumping and Emilio mocking Muneco's head twirl was awesome. I thought the finish was fine as the rudos kicked some ass and then went after Muneco on the floor and just kicked the shit out of him for good measure. I'm with SLL here and I think this deserves to move forward fairly easily.
August 10, 201312 yr comment_5555589 Pirata Morgan, Emilio Charles Jr., & Hombre Bala vs. Super Mueneco, Hurrican Ramirez, & Ciclon Ramirez, 3/12/1989 - First fall was fine but the sweet triple team submissions to end it were cool. - Heels control early again. Great pyramid spot with Charles taking a tumble. Really awesome 2nd fall with great rudo miscommunication and technico shine. Great flip plancha to the outside by Ciclon. - 3rd fall, HUGE bump from Charles. 3rd fall was fun with the heels dishing out nasty offense. Charles wins with a big splash to give the Rudos the victory. Overall, I enjoyed the match but it was one great fall with 2 ok falls. Early in the process, I would see this go through but this wasn’t even as good as the Nelson Trios I didn’t put through. I would put that through before this match. Liked it but no vote.
