May 2, 201213 yr Author comment_5501378 Oooohhhhhh yyeeessss, it's Ooooooowwwweeennn Haaaaaarrtttt. Owen showing up looking like a pretty typical early 90s pro wrestler standing next to Paul Bearer just looks so wrong. But whhyyyyyyy woooooouullllldd yyooooouuuu sttaaaaaannnnd iiiinnn yyyyyoooooouuuuurrrr brrrooooottthheerr'ssss waaaaaaay?
May 2, 201213 yr comment_5501381 I thought they got rid of this segment after Jake locked the coffin on Taker's hand for some reason.
May 2, 201213 yr Author comment_5501389 I don't think it was a regular feature at this point. I'm sure they dragged it out of mothballs just to give Paul Bearer something to do while waiting on Undertaker to return.
May 2, 201213 yr comment_5501394 Makes sense. I don't remember watching a lot of Superstars or Challenge in '94 since USA had two other shows on the weekend (and in my particular case, on more reasonable hours).
May 11, 201213 yr comment_5502290 Love Owen's entrance music. This was okay but just felt with this storyline that Paul Bearer was not the right choice to be interviewing Owen.
May 11, 201213 yr comment_5502374 WWE suffered in a lot of ways in '94, but none more than in the spots left behind by Heenan and Okerlund.
May 25, 201213 yr comment_5503823 This was awkward as hell and Owen's promo was pretty pedestrian. Bearer shouldn't of been the one interviewing him.
May 27, 201213 yr comment_5504207 Bearer and the setting was awkward for owen but I thought he did another good job again adding just enough new stuff to not make it seem recycled.
March 17, 201411 yr comment_5594765 Bearer's delivery has suffered greatly in comparison to when this was a regular segment. His guest is The Rocket...Owen...Haaaart??? Bearer as the defender of family honor in this setting doesn't work at all--and this is before we knew he'd knocked up the Undertaker's mom and raised his half-brother! Decent promo from Owen in a bad setting.
December 27, 20159 yr comment_5717584 Such a strange incongruity between the serious, realistic angle Bret & Owen had and the kitschy, monster-movie host vibe the set and Paul Bearer gives off. Pro wrestling!
